Thanos did not show much reaction about the rapid defeat of the Black Order.
He glanced at Ebony Maw who had just brought back Corvus Glaive from the upper atmosphere. He waved his hand at them in dismissal. Ebony Maw immediately retreated with Corvus Glaive who was unwilling to give up. They quickly took away Supergiant and Black Dwarf that Sebastian had knocked down. They left the battlefield to Thanos and Sebastian alone.
Looking at Sebastian, Thanos did not rush to attack immediately. Instead he spoke to Sebastian calmly and said. "I have to say that your strength is really beyond my expectations. Compared to three Earth years ago, your strength has probably increased many times over. If you continue to grow at this rate, it will inevitably have a huge impact on my plan.
So I have changed my mind. I will not give you any more chances to grow stronger. I will completely eliminate you here and now to prevent future troubles."
Before he finished speaking, Thanos raised his hand into the air. His double-bladed sword flew quickly from a distance where it had been stored. Thanos grabbed it firmly in his hand. He walked towards Sebastian step by step.

A translucent magical shield that was intricately etched with magical circles erupted in response to Sebastian's command. Thanos slashed down with tremendous force. He created a narrow crack in the Seraphim Shield which had never been broken before. Then the shield collapsed completely. It was clear that Thanos's single strike had exceeded the defensive limits of the powerful magic.
"I cannot afford to be hit directly. Otherwise even with my current strength, even though I am much stronger than an average person, I would not be able to withstand his physical attacks."
BANG!
With a quick thought, Sebastian's body instantly exploded into black smoke. The smoke swirled around Thanos in a circle. At the same time magical spells shot out from within the smoke. They rained down upon Thanos from all directions.
Stunning spells and petrification spells and disarming spells and eye-blinding spells and blasting spells...
A myriad of different spells transformed into a colorful rain of magical lightning. They rained down upon Thanos from all directions at once.
However contrary to Sebastian's expectations, Thanos did not dodge at all. He wielded his double-bladed sword to block some of the countless spells. Half of them were unstoppable. All of those struck Thanos's body directly.
However the stunning spell only dazed Thanos slightly for a moment. He quickly recovered after shaking his head. The petrification spell only caused a brief pause in his movements without causing much actual damage. The disarming spell only slightly weakened the double-bladed sword's grip in his hand. The eye-blinding spell only blurred his vision temporarily. The blasting spell only darkened and bruised the skin where it struck...
The effects of all the various spells were drastically weakened against him.
You have to understand that these spells were all cast by Sebastian himself. As the source of this new line of magic, their power was naturally undeniable and very strong. However against Thanos, these spells were almost completely ineffective. The only possible conclusion was that Thanos's magic resistance was incredibly high. It was reducing the power of Sebastian's magic to one-tenth or even one-hundredth of its normal strength.
Unless it was high-level and powerful magic that could still cause some damage to Thanos, he was practically immune to low-level and medium-level magic. They were unable to harm him at all.

Simultaneously Sebastian waved his wand again at the surrounding area. The bases of two surrounding mountains suddenly crumbled and broke apart. The entire mountains soared into the air. One came from each side. They moved to crush the rising Thanos between them.
Boom!
The two colliding mountain peaks instantly shattered on impact. They sent countless debris flying in all directions through the air.
At that very moment, Thanos burst out from between the crumbling mountains. He was clutching his double-bladed sword in one hand. He charged towards Sebastian at breakneck speed.
Although his armor now bore numerous cracks and visible damage, his body had sustained only superficial scrapes. He was suffering no significant damage at all. Clearly in addition to his magical resistance, Thanos possessed exceptional physical defenses. He was worthy of the title of the man who had fought head-on with the Hulk without sustaining a single injury. He had even inflicted a crushing defeat upon the Hulk.
Sebastian raised his left hand forward. He swung it in coordination with the wand in his right hand.
The mark of gravitational authority emerged between his brows and glowed. The shattered debris from the collision between the two mountains suddenly changed its trajectory in mid-air. It accelerated towards Thanos as if the pieces possessed life of their own. Simultaneously a stream of black and red ether particles emerged from Sebastian's left hand. They flowed across his wand. They transformed into a black and red wave of energy that spread out.
Empowered by the Reality Stone's reality-altering power, the flying debris both large and small transformed into cross-shaped swords of varying sizes. They hurled themselves at Thanos like a massive tsunami wave.
In a single moment, Thanos was completely engulfed by the overwhelming torrent of cross swords both large and small. Under Sebastian's precise control, the cross swords continuously spun around and sliced at Thanos from all angles. They were intent on utterly shattering him into pieces!
Ebony Maw and the other members of the Black Order watched the horrific scene unfold before them. Their hearts were filled with an indescribable fear. For the first time in their lives, they harbored a deep concern for Thanos. They were uncertain whether their master could survive such a terrifying and overwhelming attack.
But they knew full well one thing. If it were any of them in that position, they would stand no chance at all. They would surely be chopped to pieces and killed by the very first wave of attacks.
Just as the five Black Order members were at a loss for what to do, and even Ebony Maw was considering escaping from Thanos's service, something changed. The cross swords that had engulfed Thanos suddenly shattered into dust. At the same time Thanos emerged looking rather disheveled but alive. He exuded a powerful and terrifying aura. Wherever his double-bladed sword struck through the air, everything in its path crumbled and was annihilated into nothingness.
Seeing this scene unfold, Sebastian narrowed his eyes with realization. He said aloud. "This is... the Authority of Destruction!"
"The Authority that brings about the destruction of all things suits me perfectly does it not?"
Sebastian upon hearing Thanos's confirming words suddenly understood everything.
Before this moment, Sebastian had some doubts about Thanos. The six Infinity Stones each represented six complete cosmic powers. But could these six complete powers combined really accomplish anything one desired?
Now when Sebastian saw that Thanos possessed the Authority of Destruction, he finally understood the truth. This was why Thanos was able to destroy half of all life in the universe with a snap. Whether it was intelligent life or animals or plants, half of them were wiped out instantly...
