Chapter 23 - Chapter-23 Camping

I was looking around at the destruction and carnage I had caused. 'Now I can finally call myself a Saiyan,' I thought, then took to the air. The higher I went, the more I could see in the distance, black pillars of smoke from the cities where I had caused the extinction of their inhabitants.

Huuuuugh...

Then, in mid-air, I stretched my back. "Time to head back to the ship," I said to myself with a yawn.

But I was in no hurry, as Vegeta would still take a while to finish his part. So, I returned to the ship slowly, flying gently, analyzing the fauna and flora I had left untouched. Well, maybe not for long. With the Oozaru transformation, I'd probably be destroying everything in my path without discrimination.

In the distance, I could see the ship I had come from. Surrounding it were hundreds upon hundreds of the same alien species I had killed at the military base, dead among war tanks, jets, and helicopters—many combat machines mixed in with the bodies. Standing with a smile were both Nappa and my mother.

Then Nappa looked up in my direction and yelled with his thick voice, "HEY, LEEKON! Finally done playing? Come here and help us clean up this mess!" he said.

With another yawn, I said, "Hah... you guys could've started without me, but fine, I'll lend a hand."

I landed next to the pile of bodies. The smell of blood and burnt metal was still strong.

My mother gave my head a light, wordless pat, then walked into the ship while I was outside with Nappa, gathering bodies and machines. Then we heard a scream from inside: "HEY, YOU TWO, STOP DRAGGING YOUR TAILS AND COME HELP!"

Then, several other crew members from the ships came to help us move all the bodies into a huge pile that formed in just a few minutes, which was then incinerated with a good old-fashioned ki blast courtesy of my mother. Not a single trace of the aliens who had attacked the ship remained, nor their machines—they had become nothing but dust.

All three of us and several of the crew members looked at where the pile had been. Then, my mother looked at me: "So, Leekon, are you hungry?"

'That's what I like to hear, haha, my mom loves asking that question.'

"VERY, I came straight from training and just had a small break before the mission."

My mother started to say "Then let me—," but was interrupted by Nappa, who said, "Don't worry, leave it to me," and took complete responsibility for himself.

Nappa decided to have an outdoor experience while we waited for the prince and prepared lunch, gathering some logs for us to sit around a bonfire he built himself. He was now roasting a rabbit he had hunted while getting the firewood. It almost seemed like he wanted to impress someone...

As we sat there, my mother on one side and Nappa on the other, facing us.

Then, while slowly rotating the rabbit to roast it on all sides, Nappa asked without taking his eyes off the food, "So, tell me, brat... how was your first real mission? Did you do well or just get in the prince's way?"

Looking at him and raising an eyebrow, I said, "I'm stronger and I'm here first, so who would he get in the way of?" But I paused with a smile forming at the corner of my lips. "Let's just say... our main targets, the strongest ones here, didn't last long. One of them ended up jumping right at me... and I... we... we couldn't play with him."

Nappa laughed like a madman, already understanding what had happened: "HAHAHAHAHA."

My mother, who had only been watching our conversation so far, said, "You mean you killed the strongest one by accident?"

Then, with a small smile that matched mine, she said, "Vegeta must be spitting fire right now!"

"Yeah, I think he's going to take a while to vent his anger on the rest of the people here," I said as I took my eyes off Nappa and looked at the meat, the fat dripping into the fire, making the flames crackle harder.

"But I think this is all for the best. It'll give Vegeta even more drive to get stronger and fight you," Nappa said, then finished roasting the food.

"I hope so," I said with a hopeful look in my eyes. I never say no to a fight.

"Eat up, brat," Nappa said, extending a piece of the roasted rabbit to me.

I took the meat with my hand, and the smell made my mouth water. The hot fat dripped on my fingers, but I didn't care. The first bite was a pleasure that made all the effort worth it.

And we spent the next hour like that until Vegeta had finished his work. In the meantime, they tried everything, from launching bombs at us from stealth attack jets, but nothing the remaining people tried disturbed our evening. It just served for more entertainment.

Then, after 7 hours, Vegeta arrived with his entire body painted purple from the aliens' blood. "Finally, time to train that Great Ape form," I said to myself, looking at Vegeta now cosplaying as Muk.
