Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Steps Towards Dreams

It was early morning.

The college library was quiet, but there was always one lively corner — the spot where Aarav, Priya, Kanika, Megha, Meera, and Bhavya gathered.

Every day, they arrived on time, piled up books around them, and settled into their usual places. Their friendship was growing deeper with each passing day, alongside their studies.

---

Day One – Preparing for Hindi and English

Aarav (opening his notebook):

"Today we finish Hindi and English. Tomorrow, it's time for the other subjects."

Priya (laughing):

"And no excuses today. We're not leaving any topic unfinished."

Kanika (playfully):

"Whoever skips a topic has to buy tea for the whole group!"

Meera (giggling):

"Wow! I love this idea. Aarav, get ready — your tea's confirmed."

Aarav (grinning while picking up a book):

"Forget just tea, I'll bring the whole tea stall... but first, you all need to understand this 'Bhakti Kaal and Riti Kaal' properly."

They dived into poetry by great Hindi poets — Surdas, Tulsidas, Kabir...

While making notes on Wordsworth and Shakespeare in English, Priya doodled a tiny smiley on Aarav's notebook.

Aarav (noticing it and smiling):

"Wow, art attack during studies too?"

Priya (with a mischievous smile):

"Little smiles are necessary — otherwise, we'll fall into depression!"

---

Day Two – Environmental Studies and Foundation Course

Bhavya (in a serious tone):

"The environment topic is pretty heavy — Ecosystems, Biodiversity, we need to remember everything."

Megha (loudly announcing):

"I'm in charge today. Everyone gets one topic. Let's divide and teach each other."

Meera (mockingly):

"Whoa! So you're the teacher today?"

Everyone laughed, lightening the mood.

Soon, they covered topics from the Foundation Course — Social Reforms and the Indian Constitution.

---

Day Three and Four – Financial Accounting and Business Communication

Now the real challenge began —

Debits, credits, trial balances, report writing, and preparing for group discussions.

Aarav (struggling with a problem):

"This trial balance is seriously taking a trial of my patience."

Kanika (laughing):

"Handle it wisely, or your balance will be a disaster!"

Bhavya (explaining Business Communication):

"If you master effective communication skills, you won't just ace class tests — you'll also shine in interviews."

Aarav (nodding sincerely):

"Bhavya, that's a really important point."

---

Day Five – Business Maths and Business Regulatory Framework

Meera (shouting playfully):

"Math lovers, wear helmets today — your brains are going to explode!"

Everyone laughed again, then got into Algebra, Matrices, and legal chapters.

In Business Regulatory Framework, they had a long discussion about the Indian Contract Act and Consumer Protection Act.

---

Day Six – Business Environment and Business Economics

By now, their eyes showed signs of exhaustion, but their spirit was still strong.

Priya (debating Business Environment):

"Globalization and Liberalization changed India a lot — you must know how to write a short note on that."

Kanika (focusing on Business Economics):

"Concentrate on Price Elasticity questions — they're always in the test!"

---

Day Seven – Computer Applications and Final Revision

That day, everyone sat in the computer lab and revised topics like Computer Fundamentals, MS Office, and Networking.

Then they quickly went over all subjects one last time.

Megha (looking at Aarav):

"Studying with you guys has been so much fun. If I were alone, I would've been bored to death."

Bhavya (nodding):

"Totally. Our team is the best!"

Priya (smiling):

"After the test, we need a little celebration, don't you think?"

Aarav (grinning, looking at everyone):

"Let's top the exams first, then we'll celebrate!"

---

That night, on the way home

Aarav was riding his scooter home.

There was a light breeze in the air and peace in his heart. He looked up at the sky — the stars were shining bright.

He thought to himself:

"This time, I have to prove myself. I have to fulfill my mother's dreams."
