Celeste's words were calm but carried the same intensity as a queen declaring war.
"So here's the thing. One week. I'll give you all one week to prepare."
"After that, we attack. And if we get defeated... then we go crawling back to the kingdom with our tails between our legs."
Her gaze moved across the group like a school teacher daring someone to question her test grading policy. No one did.
Except.
"B-but what if he attacks before that?"
Adrian squeaked, his voice barely above a whisper.
His eyes danced anywhere but in the direction of the Goblin King, who was, rather unhelpfully, biting his lower lip and looking like he was five seconds away from bursting into cackles.
Celeste didn't flinch.
"Don't worry about that. Leave that to me. I will make sure he won't attack."
Rae, on the other hand, had to stuff half his fist into his mouth to stop the laughter that was bubbling up inside.
Everything was going according to his plan.
