Chapter 114 - Lefiya's Embarrassed State

Chapte 114 - Lefiya's Embarrassed State

Roy moved nimbly among the monsters, felling one with each step.

His lightsaber danced unpredictably, and with every movement, a crisp crack echoed—the sound of a monster's magic stone shattering.

Most monsters in the Colosseum were Level 4, some even elite.

In the deep floors, unlike the middle and lower ones, simply beheading these monsters was exhausting.

Their strength allowed crazed counterattacks before death unless their core—the magic stone—was destroyed, the most efficient and safest method.

Ais watched Roy closely, memorizing his movements.

Her swordsmanship was exceptional, proven by her development ability.

But without a mentor, she'd groped forward alone.

The Loki Familia lacked master swordsmen.

Under Roy's guidance, Ais quickly grasped his techniques.

Mimicking his movements, she mastered them in minutes.

Roy used her own style, refined a step further, allowing Ais, stuck at a bottleneck, to break through instantly and advance her swordsmanship rapidly.

Seeing this, Roy reverted to his own style.

Ais's techniques, while effective for her, drained him more against Level 4 monsters, equivalent to mid-class devils.

Though he could still one-shot them, it demanded more energy, especially against the Colosseum's endless waves.

After an hour, Roy slowed, fatigue creeping in. Ais, pushing herself to train, fared worse, distancing herself to the Colosseum's far side.

Fatigue bred flaws, even for a first-class adventurer like her, unaccustomed to such relentless solo combat without teammates.

"O proud warriors, O archers of the forest. The approaching marauders are ahead, take up your bows…" Lefiya, watching from her corner, noticed Ais's danger and began chanting.

Mid-spell, her voice trembled, body shaking as she froze.

Monsters had spawned beside her, charging wildly.

Casting broke her disguise, drawing the Colosseum's monsters to her as they replenished their constant numbers, sensing her presence.

"That idiot," Roy muttered, seeing Lefiya paralyzed with fear.

Dark red blood wings sprouted from his back.

He soared, leaving the area, and flew toward Lefiya.

A single attack cleaved the approaching monsters in two.

Without pausing, Roy scooped her up by the waist and flew high, hovering safely.

[Congratulations, Host, for absorbing 200,000 dimensional points.]

Roy's expression twitched.

Knowing elves disliked physical contact from outsiders, he'd avoided touching Lefiya.

Yet, necessity earned him points.

Lefiya, dazed, panted heavily, fear etched on her face, her body limp.

Seeing the monster horde below, she clung to Roy, terrified of falling to her death.

"Are you an idiot? You didn't dodge?" Roy said.

"I… I was too scared," Lefiya admitted, still shaken.

It was her closest brush with death as an adventurer; a monster's weapon nearly struck her head.

"You didn't dodge, and I'm questioning how you reached Level 3," Roy said, rolling his eyes.

"I've trained well, but that was a first," Lefiya said, aggrieved.

Previously, she adventured with Loki Familia teammates, casting from the rear.

Her wide-range magic obliterated monsters, with allies blocking any threats.

Her ability to handle sudden danger was lacking.

"Hmpf," Roy scoffed.

"I get it! Thanks for saving me!" Lefiya said loudly, her face red from embarrassment at being scoffed by Roy.
