Otherwise, how could she have persuaded Thomas so easily?

She had nothing to fear—she was already a shareholder.

By logic, the more she invested, the better it was for Dexa Group. Naturally, she assumed he would support her.

And he did.

But in return, all he received was a light, airy thank-you.

Ryan smirked to himself and, almost involuntarily, typed a reply:

"Is saying thank you just lip service?"

Natalie quickly responded:

"Of course not. I can transfer a portion of the compensation Dad gave me to your personal account, Mr. Ryan."

Ryan: "…"

Did he look like he needed money?

He couldn't help but laugh at himself. Almost thirty, and here he was, bantering with a young girl.

"No need for that!"

Natalie frowned at her phone, puzzled by Ryan's intentions. Did he mean thank-you wasn't enough, but then refused her offer of money?

He was her boss—she couldn't just ignore his feelings.

Should she buy him a gift instead?

But she didn't know what he liked.
