Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5

Chi Yu bid farewell to Uzumaki Kushina.

To be honest, Chi Yu had been lonely for so long that he deeply craved someone to talk to—someone who would understand him.

However, as he told Kushina, associating with him would only lead to her being isolated as well.

In Konoha, those who distanced themselves from Chi Yu were considered normal. Anyone who didn't was viewed as strange.

So, Chi Yu's refusal to be friends with Kushina was, in his eyes, for her own good.

After returning to his small, rundown house—which looked like it had been patched together more times than he could count—Chi Yu felt a tight knot of nervousness in his chest.

Still, he forced himself to remain calm.

"System," Chi Yu asked, "when you take over my body to simulate Lightning Release Chakra form and nature transformation—along with all the Lightning Breathing forms—will the commotion be big?"

[Recommendation: Host should move to an open area. There is a 99.99% chance that your current residence will be destroyed.]

Chi Yu's eyelid twitched. Good thing he asked—otherwise, he wouldn't have a roof over his head by morning.

He quickly vacated the house and made his way to the riverbank at the edge of Konoha. This remote location was his usual training ground. Hardly anyone ever came here.

Tree trunks in the area bore the marks of countless strikes and jutsu attempts—all scars from Chi Yu's tireless training.

Chi Yu inhaled deeply and said, "System, let's begin. Claim the reward."

[Reward claimed. System will take over host's body in 3… 2… 1… Control engaged.]

Chi Yu immediately noticed a difference—his senses sharpened to the point that even the flow of blood in his veins was crystal clear.

[Simulation begins. First, simulating Lightning Release Chakra form transformation.]

The system raised Chi Yu's right hand.

A mass of chakra condensed in his palm. Though Chi Yu wasn't in control, every motion felt as if it were his own.

It was a strange contradiction—he wasn't moving, yet he felt like he was.

The chakra began to shift.

At first, it was just neutral chakra—elementless and raw. But as it gathered and compressed, it caused intense pain in Chi Yu's circulatory system.

Still, the simulation pressed on.

The neutral chakra was stabilized and then infused with lightning-nature chakra.

A spark erupted—then a surge. Bright bolts danced across Chi Yu's arm as his hand became enveloped in crackling electricity.

The pain twisted his face, but inside, he was thrilled.

He had successfully simulated Lightning Release Chakra form transformation.

Now it was time to simulate nature transformation—to give the lightning its destructive properties.

[Form transformation complete. Now simulating Lightning Release Chakra nature transformation.]

Lightning nature chakra is known for its paralyzing shock and ability to boost physical performance. Currently, the lightning on Chi Yu's arm was just a harmless light show.

But that would soon change.

The next stage was agony.

It felt like ants were crawling through every vein, each nerve ablaze. His hypersensitive perception made the sensation unbearable.

Yet he couldn't scream—his body was not under his control.

Time slowed to a crawl, each second stretching into eternity.

Eventually, the system's voice cut through the haze.

[Nature transformation simulation complete. Now simulating: Lightning Breathing Full Form. Host lacks a sword. Would the host like to purchase one from the system shop?]

"Yes! Purchase it," Chi Yu answered instantly.

The shop interface opened.

With only 100 Witness Points, Chi Yu had limited options. He selected a standard katana priced at 10 points.

A one-meter-long katana materialized in his hand.

[Beginning Lightning Breathing Full Form simulation.]

Chi Yu's posture shifted. Blue lightning chakra wrapped around the katana and his right leg, stimulating his muscles. His breathing changed. Though the air was warm, a puff of white mist escaped his lips.

"Thunder Breathing, First Form: Thunderclap and Flash!"

With a thunderous boom, Chi Yu vanished from his spot, reappearing five meters ahead in front of a tree as wide as two grown men. His katana flashed in a high-speed drawing slash.

The tree was cleaved cleanly in two.

Before he could breathe, Chi Yu transitioned into the next move.

"Second Form: Rice Spirit!"

Lightning burst from his katana in five streaks, slicing the already-falling tree into dozens of pieces mid-air.

He pressed on.

Though the system controlled his body, all the pain and pressure were fully his to bear.

Muscles tore. Trees burned and fell. The sheer heat of the lightning had already set the forest floor ablaze.

Chi Yu was overwhelmed. He hadn't expected this much destruction. Surely, Konoha's sensory unit would notice.

After the Fourth Form, his chakra was depleted, but the system forcefully consumed 30 Witness Points to refill it.

From the Fifth Form onward, each technique cost him more Witness Points.

At last, he reached the final form.

[30 Witness Points consumed to replenish chakra.]

"Seventh Form: Honoikazuchi no Kami!"

Chi Yu thrust forward at breakneck speed, his katana tearing through everything in a straight line. A streak of deep blue lightning shaped like a dragon tore through trees and rocks, annihilating everything in its path.

It was dazzling. And terrifying.
