Chapter 68
After the council meeting, Jerome went home. He was surprised to see Scarlet and Olivia exchanging words like they'd known each other for a long while.
"What's happening?"
"We're just making dinner. Is there something wrong with us joining hands in making dinner for you? I mean, she's your friend, she told me how she helped you out while you were back there, so I offered to help when I met her in the kitchen." Olivia replied, wearing so many smiles that he found it suspicious.
"I don't know if Jerome's lying to me but if he's lying. I'll find out myself, and when I do, I'll kill this lady and kill him afterwards. He doesn't know that I'm not the type of lady to be messed around with. I've held many men accountable and I won't let one mess with my head." Olivia's thoughts as she placed the pancakes and milk by the table.
