Chapter 37 - Are You Teaching Me How to Do Things?

On the luxurious cruise ship carrying the Celestial Dragons, a deathly silence prevailed. Bob's words reached their hearts, and each person stiffened, silently lowering their heads. The world of pirates had been ruled by the Celestial Dragons for over eight hundred years. In this world, the Celestial Dragons were the true upper class. Ordinary people had long been brainwashed.

They had completely internalized their status as lowly commoners. Even now, with the Celestial Dragon reduced to a corpse, they still dared not take a step forward. Their hearts were filled with immense fear. The ideology branded into their minds was like a cage, tightly trapping them within. Even if the lock on the cage was gone, the psychological lock remained. They dared not step out of the cage.

Seeing no one respond, Bob shook his head, just as he was about to take action.

A childish voice rang out.

"I'll do it!"

Following the voice, everyone's eyes turned in unison. It was a young marine, barely over ten years old. Tears welled in his eyes, as if he had just been crying. Without a word, Bob nodded slightly.

As the young marine stepped towards the Celestial Dragon, the eyes of the surrounding marines were all on him. This child was the son of Vice Admiral Xiti. From a young age, he aspired to be like his father, to join the Marines and become a hero who upheld justice like his father. On this mission to protect the Celestial Dragons, he had insisted on accompanying his father.

This was his first time at sea. Little did he know, it would be the last time he saw his father. He had witnessed his "hero," the very Celestial Dragon they were protecting kill his father. And the surrounding marines had done nothing. Just like his father, who had been shot dead. His beliefs crumbled in the sound of that gunshot, along with his respect for the Celestial Dragons.

Taking step after step, the young marine reached the Celestial Dragon. With both small hands, he grabbed the clothes and dragged them across the deck. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move it.

Time passed minute by minute. Bob, leaning against the ship's railing, did not step forward to help. He simply watched coldly.

Finally, another marine could no longer stand by. He soon stepped forward.

Came the second, the third... and so on. Dozens of marines stepped forward. With their help, the four corpses, with four splashes, disappeared into the vast sea. The bloodstains on the deck were also cleaned up.

Seeing all this done, Bob smiled.

" Hmm, not bad!"

"Those of you who stepped forward just now, you can leave now!" Bob said calmly. These people had not been intimidated by the corpses they still had some courage in their hearts. So Bob decided to give them a way out.

As for the rest, Bob turned to look at them.

Each one was already numb forget courage, Bob felt they didn't even have humanity left. Letting them go would only make them lackeys of the Celestial Dragons.

"As for the rest, Kaido, I leave them to you!"

Bob looked at Kaido beside him and spoke slowly.

"Understood!"

Kaido's face showed a fierce expression, understanding Bob's meaning. He would show no mercy to these marines.

And so, amidst a series of screams, those people were all dealt with. The scene was extremely gruesome. The marines who had stepped forward couldn't help but feel a chill down their spines. They all felt a sense of relief for their earlier decision.

With Bob's permission, these people found a boat from the cruise ship. However, when it was dragged out, Bob was shocked. This boat was far more luxurious than some pirate ships. It was easy to imagine how extravagant the Celestial Dragons must be.

Soon, the boat was pulled into the water. As if escaping from death, the marines hurriedly boarded it. They seemed very afraid that Bob might change his mind. As they left, their eyes kept darting around.

Bob sneered at this. Standing at the bow of the cruise ship, he watched the boat gradually drift away. In the distance, a little boy suddenly climbed onto the bow and waved at Bob. Seeing this, Bob smiled.

He raised his hand and waved back. The sea breeze blew against Bob, bringing a warm sensation. He had no idea what fate awaited these people. They might encounter other pirates on the way, or they might be punished by the World Government upon their return.

But these were not Bob's concerns.

"Why didn't you kill them?" Kaido was puzzled. "As a pirate, shouldn't we have killed the marines on sight?"

Letting them go meant they would report back to the World Government.

"Are you teaching me how to do things?" Bob retracted his gaze and glanced at him, speaking indifferently. Hearing this, Kaido was momentarily stunned.

On the boat, there was still one person left unhandled—the slave who had been ridden by the Celestial Dragon. Bob walked up to him and gave him a once-over.

Male, muscular, with long hair covering his eyes, wearing only shorts and a massive chain around his neck. From his massive build, he appeared to be from the Giant Tribe.

"What's your name?" Bob asked slowly.

After a long pause, the slave finally realized he was being addressed. The Giant slave slowly raised his head, his eyes lifeless, staring blankly at Bob through his long hair.

"Jojolbaf," he said, as if he hadn't spoken in a long time, nor had anyone asked for his name.

It took him a while to finally spit out the words, after which he lowered his head again.

"How about joining the Rocks Pirates and become my crewmate?" Bob asked. He had this idea in the moment he saw the slave.

Having a Giant in his crew seemed like an excellent choice. In the original story, Elbaf, the land of the Giants, was the strongest country in the world. Each individual possessed immense strength. Having him as a crewmate would undoubtedly be a great help in their endeavors.

"Okay," Jojolbaf's reply was brief, just one word.

But that was enough.

Suddenly, Bob activated his Armament Haki. In the next moment, the lock around Jojolbaf's neck was removed.

With a wave of his hand, a massive explosion erupted on the sea. This chain had appeared in the original story, so Bob recognized it at first glance. The moment it was removed or taken beyond a certain distance from its owner, it would self-destruct.

As the explosion rang out, Bob said calmly, "You are free."
