Chapter 47 - Chapter 47; When did we lose a car?

Judge Liang, a stern woman in her fifties with no-nonsense glasses, adjusts her files and stares through her glasses at the two young men.

JUDGE LIANG: "Lu Ting Cheng, Lu Zi Zhen. Charges: reckless driving, endangering public safety, resisting arrest verbally, and driving without a license. How do you plead?"

DEFENSE ATTORNEY: "Not guilty on all major charges, Your Honor. They have already acknowledged their mistake and are willing to accept a fine and public service of two days, your honor. I think that should be fair, knowing they are still minors."

Judge Liang raised a brow and shifted her gaze to the boys who stood there like two naive kids who had just accidentally explored this wildness and everything that had happened, it was an accident. It felt like it wasn't their fault that this happened like this and turned out to be this way.

JUDGE LIANG: "I must admit, you two don't look particularly regretful of the misconduct! Not repentant at all"
