Chapter 166 - A Once Facade - Part 5

On his knees, Lue pushed himself up. While coughing, he grinned. "You like playing games! Good, so do I!"

Amidst the thick white ash cloud, he gripped his sword tightly. Exhaling, he extended his sword over his shoulder and prepared to throw it.

His eyes closed, he instinctively hurled the sword into the thick cloud. Immediately after, a sickening scream echoed through the forest: "AaAaAaA!"

As suddenly as it echoed, it stopped.

Lue chuckled, shouting, "That's what I like!" as he threw a punch into the monster's face to his left, slamming him to the ground.

Lue gets on top of the monster, easily batting aside its feeble attempts to resist.

Laughing out loud, Lue struck him in the face once. The monster opened its eyes and looked at him. It shivered, its hands shaking, as Lue's laughter died, leaving everything silent. Punch after punch, he relentlessly pulverized the monster's face.

After countless strikes, the monster stopped moving as every sound around Lue came back to life. The sound of wind dinning in Lue's ears as he laughed.

His armor was deeply scratched by the monster's fingers as a last-ditch attempt to save itself, the marks as frenzied as those of someone clawing at the inside of a coffin while being buried alive.

Lue's laughter slowly subsided as he pulled his sword from the monster's carcass.

Slowly standing up, he glanced towards the cloaked man, wrapped from head to toe in pitch-black material.

He looked up at the sky, covered by the white ash. Lue exhaled and said, 'Is that all you have?'"

"Is that what you think?" The cloaked man asked.

"Probably not,"

"Then, this one will kill you."

Mytri clicked his tongue as he swung his sword horizontally, evaporating the monsters that constantly attacked him. "Could you not?"

But to no avail. Right after, every monster gathered into seven small hills as they morphed into seven beings. Humanoid creatures closely resemble humans but with eyes all over their bodies.

Those seven beings gripped their hands and ran at Mytri, throwing punches at him. But he saw their movements and blocked them one by one. He gripped his sword and sliced them in half all at once.

Just as the top half of their body flew into the air, a tentacle shot up from the bottom half, grabbed it, and slapped it back into place.

They went all at once, punching with unimaginable strength; every punch pushed Mytri back by an inch but barely did any damage to him.

They attacked accordingly, two from the left, two from the right, and two from the front. They captured his attention. The seventh appeared from above, trying to slam Mytri to the ground.

But he knew one was missing, so he grabbed him by an ankle, and with all his strength, he tore the torso of the six beings' bodies.

But they all regenerated. With an out-loud laugh, Mytri kept using the being he held by an ankle as a club.

It tried to free itself, but its futile attempts were worthless, as Mytri was too strong.

Strong wind blew from the back as the one-sided battle continued. White ash covered the sun, casting a darkness on the forest. Deep shadows covered the forest, but light still crawled through them, barely lighting the ground.

A strong smell hung in the atmosphere, like bodies that rotted under the sun. Making Mytri nearly puke on the spot.

"A rotten smell hung in the atmosphere, like bodies that rotted under the sun. Making Mytri nearly puke on the spot.

THUD! THUD! Slamming sounds echoed as Mytri kept pulverizing the creature bodies to a pulp with each swing of his 'club.' He was laughing as he kept on going.

He stopped when he noticed the top part of his 'club' was missing. He threw it at another creature but missed.

"'It's boring,' I'd say at last. Come up with something better. You won't achieve anything with that meager strength of yours." Mytri said,

He watched the beings closely and noticed them looking at themselves; each of them nodded at themselves.

"What…" Mytri muttered, but before he could finish, all of them ran into one another and merged into a single humanoid being. It had three sets of eyes: one on its forehead, one in place of its nose, and one in place of its mouth, all pointing toward the center of the face. Beside it, its body was dark in tone. Perfectly matching the shadow, easily blending into the environment.

"Is that all you have? I'd say, I'm deeply disappointed…" Mytri was cut off as the creature appeared right in front of him. With a fist, it slammed it into his stomach.

Within a second, Mytri slammed through dozens of trees. Rotating midair, unable to stop. As he flew, he laughed, saying, "I love it!"

"What is that?" Lue muttered as a massive, three-headed monster emerged from behind the cloaked figure. Its thick legs flexed, body hunched forward, two arms hanging ready before it while the other two remained poised at its sides, prepared to strike. A sharp tail curled ominously toward Lue.

"Your life is over... Good luck," the cloaked man said.

"This will be fun," Mytri muttered, gripping his sword.
