Theodore's pov
"I can't dream of taking something that's expensive!" She said after I gave her a confirmatory nod, she carefully closed the small purple books like she was putting together a bomd and placed it down.
"So what do you plan to do? Return it to my mother?" I asked mostly out of curiosity.
She brushed her cheek thoughtfully, she often did that whenever something really troubled her.
"I understand what you're saying, it would be rude of me to return it right now and she might get suspicious of our relationship if I did return it. In that case I'll just safely keep it aside until the real owner shows up,"
I don't know why it grated at my nerves for her to say that, of course according to the contract we had together she wasn't the 'real' owner, everything she said was technically correct and yet it didn't sit quite well with me.
