Chapter 9 - SEASON 1 EPISODE 9 THE WORLD WHERE DEATH HAS FACE

Season 1 Episode 9: The Strangers' Descent'

"In a world where death has a face, you either become the sword or its shadow."*

The crimson light of dawn filtered through the dense trees of Sector 2 Forest, glinting off the steel-lined masks of thirty-three figures. Standing before them, his black hair fluttering with the wind, Surya gazed over the gathered force with eyes that had seen more pain than years.

They were no longer boys.

They were no longer victims.

They were Strangers.

Each of them carried a name and a letter, but more than that, they carried will.

Aditya stepped forward, arms crossed. His once-wild aura was now calm, composed. "You survived the training. You have scars that scream louder than your voices. But today... today is not training. Today is war."

His voice echoed through the silent forest.

"Thirty Wormen," he continued, "have been traced in Sector 3. But numbers are lies. We don't know how many. Could be fifty. Could be a hundred."

Surya stepped beside him, pulling down his mask slightly, his voice cutting through the morning fog.

"You don't fight for fame. You don't fight for ranks. You fight because if you don't, nobody will. I don't care if you are weak or strong. Fight with your heart. Remember your purpose. Protect those who cannot protect themselves."

A deep silence followed—the calm before the storm. Then one by one, the Strangers began roaring. It wasn't rage. It was purpose. It was fire.

**The Ranks Were Clear:**

- **Elite Strangers:** Surya (X), Aditya (Z), Kai (Y) — the founders, the strongest.

- **Chief Strangers:** Leaders of groups of five. King, Regel, Shiv, Baru, Dara.

- **Hunters:** The extractors. Kai led the five-member unit who rescued civilians during combat.

- **Strangers:** The soldiers. Brave, trained, lethal. Sidhart, Asura, Raj, Aman, Rocky, Sage, Abhi, Sen and others.

They had all been through merciless training. Sparring in rainstorms. Tracking beasts at night. Fighting with wooden sticks till bones cracked. Sleepless nights. Bleeding palms. Tears hidden behind masks.

This... was their first mission.

Sector 3 was no longer a place.

It was a graveyard.

The sky was drenched in crimson. Black clouds coiled above like serpents, whispering death. Blood soaked the ground as they stepped through the ruins.

"HUNTERS!" Surya commanded. "Street to street. Basement extractions. Clear every alley. Move civilians underground."

Kai took charge. "Sidhart, Rocky, Abhi, Sage, Sen. Let's move."

As civilians screamed and the ground shook, the first Wormen emerged.

They weren't just beasts.

They were monsters.

But Strangers didn't hesitate.

Chief Baru and Dara, towering at 7 feet, charged without weapons. One Wormen leapt at Baru. With one hand, Baru stopped it mid-air. Dara climbed its back, found the chest, and punched through it like a blade. The Wormen collapsed.

Meanwhile, King and Regel moved like lightning. One Wormen didn't even get a chance to swing. King jumped on its shoulder, Regel sliced its feet. The beast fell. King spun and stabbed through its chest with precision.

They made it look like sport.

The average Strangers—Karan, Vikram, Rudra and others —fought with teamwork. Their movements were raw, but brave. Their unity turned them into a blade.

After two hours, 35 Wormen lay dead.

The Strangers cheered, voices echoing. "WE WON!"

But Surya and Aditya stood still.

They had said nothing.

They had done nothing.

They were watching.

They were testing.

Surya clenched his fist. He wasn't like Aditya. He still felt. If something went wrong, he would jump in. Always.

Then, the wind changed.

The sky darkened again.

The earth trembled.

A sudden scream echoed.

Rain began to fall. Not water. But thick, dark-red rain. It hissed when it touched the ground. Lightning cracked. Buildings trembled.

Kai gasped. "LOOK!"

Over the broken cityscape, they appeared.

Not thirty.

Not fifty.

But **a hundred** Wormen.

Each standing 25 to 30 feet tall, like moving buildings.

The Strangers turned, battle-worn, panting, covered in blood. Their faces froze.

But not in fear.

In *rage*.

This wasn't a fight.

This was a declaration.
