Shaan's breath grew tighter, and pain spread through every muscle in his legs as he kept chasing Sebastian through the busy crowd in the town square. Even so, his effort finally paid off because he now ran close enough and almost reached Sebastian.
'Come on, Shaan. You can do it.'
Shaan stretched out his arms, trying to reach Sebastian's shoulder in the crowd. It was only a little further... a little further, and he would succeed in tapping Sebastian on the shoulder.
'Great, now this is my chance to—'
However, things did not go as smoothly as expected. People bumped into him again and again, each hit growing harder as the crowd pressed in. Shaan pushed forward and tried to brace himself against the collisions, but his body couldn't handle the impact anymore, and he stumbled to the ground.

Shaan crashed onto the pavement as people hurried past him. The sudden fall startled everyone nearby, and they quickly rushed over to help.
