"Go change your clothes first. Have you thought about what you want to eat yet?" Atlas Hallow bent down to ask Charlotte Miller. Her appetite was unpredictable; she had already eaten a lot of snacks this afternoon. Would she still be able to eat now?
"Northeastern cuisine, sweet and sour pork, sour cabbage blood sausage stew, dumplings, sauce-braised bones, cold potato noodles, and corn cakes," Charlotte listed. Just thinking about it made her drool; she was so tempted.
Want to eat that? Atlas looked at Charlotte, who was beaming with excitement. It was indeed an unusual preference. He hadn't noticed before that she liked Northeastern food. But if she liked it, that was good. He took her hand and went into the room to change clothes together.
Seeing her always so full of joy made Atlas's heart sink a bit. He wasn't sure whether to tell her about Luna.
He feared it might affect her mood. Perhaps he should wait until after dinner to bring it up.
