The department manager was frozen in place, watching Atlas Hallow wrap his arm around Charlotte Miller and walk straight toward the elevator.
"President Miller, have you been well lately?" As the elevator doors closed, the small space held only the two of them. Atlas Hallow's low voice rose in the confined air, carrying enough menace to make her heart tremble.
She felt somewhat unsettled when the man addressed her as President Miller, and even more so when Atlas Hallow used the same term, making her hair stand on end; it seemed he was genuinely angry.
"How could I dare to call myself 'President' in front of you? Isn't 'biggest' more fitting for you?" Charlotte Miller flattered him with a small face that smiled like a blooming flower.
It's hard to hit a smiling face, so making sure to smile a lot must not be wrong.
"Am I the biggest? Are you sure?" If she were big enough, how could she dare work behind his back? Who knows what else she's done that he doesn't know about?
