Chapter 15: Arrival of Sage Valmiki
The growing fame of Mahishmati reached the ears of Rishi Valmiki, the legendary author of the Ramayana. Hearing of the Raudraansh child, he decided to visit the kingdom and witness the young Yuvraj's wisdom for himself.
A grand welcome awaited the great sage. The entire royal family, along with dignitaries and sages, gathered to receive him. Rudra, despite his young age, approached the revered rishi with folded hands and bowed deeply.
"O divine sage, Mahishmati is honored by your presence," he spoke with clarity beyond his years.
Valmiki's eyes gleamed with admiration. "Such wisdom in one so young… truly remarkable."
He engaged Rudra in discussions about Dharma, society, and the spiritual path. To everyone's astonishment, the young prince debated fluently, offering deep insights that even seasoned scholars would struggle to articulate.
Impressed, Rishi Valmiki finally said, "My child, you possess knowledge beyond this world. I offer you a boon—ask for anything, and it shall be granted."
Rudra, ever humble, bowed and said, "O revered one, I seek no boon for myself. Instead, I have a request—would you consider making Mahishmati your home and serve as our Rajguru?"
A hushed silence fell upon the court. Having such a legendary figure as their Rajguru would elevate Mahishmati's prestige beyond imagination.
The sage pondered for a moment before nodding. "Very well, child. I shall make Mahishmati my home."
A wave of joy spread through the kingdom. With Valmiki's presence, Mahishmati's spiritual and intellectual foundation would reach unparalleled heights. Meanwhile, Rudra continued his disciplined life—training his body and mind, learning directly under the sage's guidance.
