Chapter 12 - Temptations.

Ray sat on his chair, his breath unstable. He leaned in, and the next moment, he had been in a dilemma since Phil went to deliver his message to Asena.

Well, the way she behaved today was something that he didn't expect. The Pamela he knew would never threaten him that way. Not now, not ever. No matter what the situation was, she was always too scared to lose him, but Pamela was killing him.

She was not giving him the same emotions he was putting out and it was draining him so much that she was starting to get worried about everything that was going on.

"Come on, are you going to keep being this way? Maybe you should go ask the doctor again because this is getting out of hand," his wolf expressed, and he couldn't agree more. She was making him seem so desperate to find a solution to her problem because she was acting strange.

Unable to take it any more, he grabbed the keys, and then tried his best to make sense of everything else that was on his mind.

He walked out of his study, and towards his car which roared soon enough, leaving behind only a trail of dust.

Throughout the drive, he couldn't help her converse with him. He wanted to know what exactly he would say to the doctor when he got there.

He didn't even wait. The moment he had positioned the car in the right spot, he rushed into the hospital, heading straight for the doctor's office.

He knocked, waiting for a response. However, when he opened the door, the doctor was taken aback.

"Alpha Ray…" She expressed, and immediately stood up from her seat. He nodded, moving closer to take her hand in a firm shake.

"You are back here so soon. What happened? Is there any good result?" She asked, gesturing for him to sit down.

"What happened is that she's getting worse. Her detest for me is unspeakable and I can't take it any more!" He roared, but she gestured for him to calm down.

"I know you're worried, and tense, but this is what I have to tell you. You have to give it time. She's traumatized. She was attacked by rogues while trying to save a group of children. She lost her life, and she came back by a miracle. We should be grateful she's back. Else, I'm sure you would still be mourning…"

Wanting to remain calm, he exhaled, trying to relax his back on the seat he was on.

"So what do you advise?"

"That you wait. It's not easy, and she's also trying to recover, but at the same time, you should---"

Ray shook his head, cutting the doctor off. "No. I'm done waiting. Prescribe some meds I can give to her. I can't take it any more."

The doctor tried to speak, but he raised one of his hands up to stop her again. "I know you're concerned, but I am also, and that's why I can't keep watching her slip off my hands. Prescribe me something, now," he explained, making the doctor sigh in relief.

"Fine. I'll give you what you want," she explained, excusing herself from his presence to which he allowed. However, she returned to the office with a bottle in her hands.

"This should help you with whatever you're doing, but then you have to make sure it doesn't exceed a 10 mil dosage."

Ray hummed, staring at the bottle after he had received it from the doctor.

"What happens if it does?"

The doctor frowned, but she still managed to explain.

"Well, it's most definitely going to mess with her. You have to be careful to make sure you give her the exact--"

He nodded his head in understanding, thanking her. "You've done a lot, I'm going to make sure to reward you," Ray said with a smile.

She nodded. "It's a pleasure to serve the alpha," she expressed, and Ray proceeded to leave the place.

He drove back home, rushing to pick out the drink he would serve her when she got here. As soon as he grabbed the bottle, he opened it, and downed the content of the bottle inside.

His eyes stared at the bottle with a dark, yet satisfied look. Finding solutions was the best thing for him, and he was glad it worked out.

"I don't care what the doctor says. I just want my Pamela pack."

Meanwhile, Pamela was still trying to convince Phil on why she needed the information, but he was still adamant.

"Are you seriously going to keep up with this? We agreed you're going to be giving me more info, what has come over you?" She expressed, showing her displeasure, but it seemed like Phil didn't care.

"You aren't going to understand. You're going to go because they called you up, right? You don't even know if you're walking right into a trap."

Asena smirked. "I can handle it, and you don't have to worry about me. Do you understand?"

"No, no I don't. I'm trying to protect you, but you don't seem to want it. I have pleaded with you times without number for you to be able to understand that I care for you, and will try to protect your best interest, but no, you have no idea…"

At one point, Asena was getting tired of the back, and forth. She had an idea that it wasn't the way she wanted, and there was a reason he was doing all this, so she decided to bring out the big guns.

She immediately pulled off her gown, leaving the undergarment.

As soon as that happened, his mouth hung open, his eyes wide, and the moment he had enough of the view, he closed his mouth, dabbing his tongue over his lips as he wondered.

He swallowed, throat dabbing with hunger, even his gaze showed it.

"So what is it going to be? I'm willing to give you more… Just as I have always promised, but are you willing to spill more?"
