Chapter 165 - Chapter 165: Aha: Eheh!

"Pervert!"

"Ah!"

After a chaotic mess, with chickens flying and dogs jumping, Xin Yu scrambled out of the girls' changing room in a sorry state. He had just wanted to use spatial teleportation to leave, but just like the problem with his time travel, his spatial displacement also encountered an accident.

Now, whenever Xin Yu attempted a temporal or spatial transfer, his own perception would experience a momentary blur, leading to all sorts of accidents. Time travel would send him to unknown points in time, while spatial jumps had a high chance of failure or translocating him to embarrassing locations.

Needless to say, there was only one person capable of pulling such stunts.

"Aha!"

Xin Yu sat on the grass, rather speechless as he removed a piece of women's clothing from the top of his head. For some reason, an inexplicable emotion welled up within him – an emotion that could probably be described as exasperation.

"I don't even know what to say anymore. Should I say this Aeon of Elation truly lives up to the name, or that this fellow is just incredibly boring?"

Xin Yu was in the process of dispelling the cognitive error affecting his perception of time and space, lest he ended up teleporting to some other strange place. He didn't even know what time period he had currently stumbled into.

After staying in a hidden corner for a good while, Xin Yu finally managed to remove the subtle distortion Aha had imposed on his cognition. He let out a sigh of relief and meticulously checked himself again, confirming that no more strange influences had been placed upon him.

Xin Yu sighed again, his mind somewhat weary as he sat on the ground, planning to rest for a moment before continuing.

"Mei! I really like you! Please go out with me!"

Suddenly, a young man's confession shattered the silence. A certain two-hundred-year-old man, who had been "playing dead" in a corner, abruptly sat up. Just moments ago, he looked like a wilted eggplant, but now, he moved like a ground-hugging demon, slithering across the ground for a moment before poking his head out from the grass to curiously observe the direction of the voice.

"Eh? Why was I just crawling on the ground?"

Just as this thought crossed Xin Yu's mind, he saw, not far away, a white-haired young man facing a purple-haired girl who was clutching files and wearing glasses.

"Yo! Kevin, Mei, what a coincidence, running into acquaintances. Looking at them now, it seems they're still in high school. To stumble right into a confession scene, interesting... wait, why am I so excited?"

After a moment's thought, Xin Yu's expression soured again, vividly portraying what it meant to look like someone owed him a million.

"Aha... The methods of an Aeon are truly unfathomable. Even after a thorough check, I couldn't find any issues with my mental state? It's as if my emotions have become sharper and amplified. What is It trying to do? Does It want me to better understand emotions so I don't degenerate into nothingness?"

"Kevin, I've seen your pursuit of me during this time. You're a great guy, very handsome, and you love sports. I'm different. I prefer to study, and I enjoy attending academic lectures that you guys would find boring and dull."

"Being with someone as uninteresting as me, you wouldn't find happiness."

"Not at all! Mei, when you're studying seriously, you look really beautiful. Although I don't understand many of the things you talk about, I'm willing to support your interests. After all, couples should be tolerant of each other, right? I really like you, please give me a chance!"

"Kevin..."

"Mei, please be with me! I'll use my entire life to love you, to prove that neither of our choices was wrong!"

Watching the young man and woman embrace, a smile involuntarily tugged at the corners of Xin Yu's lips. Although it was the influence of that boring fellow, this feeling didn't seem too bad.

After all, rich emotions were much better than a pool of stagnant water.

A phone materialized in Xin Yu's hand. He snapped a picture of this important moment of the young couple embracing, saved it, and then left with a smile.

This could be considered an important memory for the people involved. In the future, he could give this photo to them.

It was just that his act of secretly taking pictures did make him look a bit like paparazzi.

Xin Yu chuckled and shook his head. Then, his figure vanished in an instant, once again undertaking a temporal jump.

This time, after eliminating the cognitive errors regarding time and space, Xin Yu successfully arrived at Mobius's time.

The moment Xin Yu landed, he was greeted by a strange smell, like the stench produced by many piles of garbage heaped together.

Xin Yu frowned and looked around, realizing he seemed to have appeared in someone's bedroom. The bedroom was quite dim due to thick curtains blocking any outside light. It wasn't small; a wardrobe, desk, bed, and various furnishings were all present. It was just excessively messy. All sorts of clothes and underwear were strewn about carelessly, and there were many waste papers on the floor. Opening one, he saw it was filled with various drawings and formulas.

From the style of the clothes and underwear, it was clearly a lady's bedroom.

Xin Yu bent down and picked up a draft notebook from the floor. This notebook contained many professional terms and formulas. However, what was written inside wasn't important to him; what mattered was the name written on the notebook.

Mobius.

Xin Yu roughly guessed whose bedroom he had appeared in. Looking at the chaotic room, he sighed, silently stood up, and pulled open the curtains, allowing the sunlight from outside to stream in.

Afterward, Xin Yu began to tidy up the messy bedroom. He gathered the discarded clothes and, upon stepping outside, found he was in what should be a small villa with a courtyard. However, there was currently no one in the house.

He washed the laundry and hung it out to dry. Then, he used a broom to sweep away the accumulated dust and some trash from the floor, and neatly stacked the various books and drafts scattered on the ground.

After cleaning the house inside and out, Xin Yu looked at the overgrown lawn in the courtyard. He found a lawnmower in the utility room and tidied up the lawn as well.

Once all this was done, Xin Yu disappeared. He went to a corner of this world, exchanged some gold for money, bought some groceries, and returned to the house.

Mobius, who had been busy all day, returned to the villa where she lived. She was now a renowned Doctor of Biology in her field. Although many of her research directions were considered radical for contemporary humanity, many breakthroughs in biology and medicine in current society were all achieved by Mobius alone.

However, due to Mobius's radical research direction, generally, no one was willing to assist in her laboratory. Even after joining a certain mysterious organization, when that organization saw Mobius's research, they also expressed that she might be a bit too aggressive.

Lately, funding for her research had been severely lacking, and Mobius was extremely troubled. If she were to work on normal research projects, plenty of people would be willing to invest in her. But the things she was currently doing were too radical and too insane, so basically, no one was willing to invest.

As Mobius was fretting over where to find a large sum of money for funding, she used her key to open the door to her house. She immediately noticed that her house had been disturbed. The floor had been cleaned, and why was there a smell of cooking?

"Long time no see, Mobius."

Xin Yu's face, unchanged for many years, once again imprinted itself in Mobius's eyes.

"Hmph, so a certain great hero still remembers to come find me. I thought this insignificant little girl had already been forgotten."

"I'm sorry, Mobius."

"Are those just words? At least, give me a hug."

"...You're much more direct than I remember."

"Everything in this world is changing, people too."

Xin Yu stepped forward and embraced Mobius, who had grown into a young woman. The latter also wrapped her arms around Xin Yu.

"Long time no see, great hero."
