Chapter 202 - Afterword (COMPLETED)

Stumbling and fumbling, I've finally managed to bring this book to a close. To be honest, it's a bit embarrassing that it didn't even reach 500,000 words.

Ever since the beginning of June, the updates for this book became very chaotic, and the pacing obviously sped up quite a bit. The reason for this is, coincidentally, that I happened to lose my job right at the beginning of June.

Because of that, my effort and mentality towards writing just plummeted.

It's been hard to find a new job these days, and I have absolutely no idea what kind of work I should choose next. Ever since graduating from university, I've already changed jobs four or five times. It's either because the company I was working for ran into unexpected problems, or the job itself just didn't align with what I wanted. I feel very lost and pained right now.

On top of that, this book certainly has its share of flaws in the earlier parts. I took a look back myself, and my attempts at being overly literary and my handling of the emotional aspects were definitely major stumbling blocks. So, after some thought, I decided to just wrap this book up and treat it as a conclusion to this chapter of my life.

I should be starting a new book later on. After all, even though I don't have a job right now, writing a little something can still help put food on the table.

I don't know what to look for in terms of work now; I can only see if my family has any help or arrangements for me.

But enough about that. First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who stuck with it and finished reading this book. Thank you. I am truly, truly grateful that you were at least willing to read this not-so-great story that I wrote.

Thank you for your support. This counts as the first book I've ever finished under this account. Although it was a bit rushed and ended abruptly, it is, at least, finished.

Xin Yu's story has indeed come to an end here, with what I personally consider to be a pretty decent conclusion.

Of course, I have certainly learned my lessons from this book. The next one won't have so many entanglements in the romance department. After all, I'm really not good at writing romance scenes.

I am Shi Yi (肆一). Once again, thank you to everyone who has read this far.
