Chapter 50 - Canon interlude

As Tet lounged around Camp Half-Blood, he went over the challenges Annabeth had faced yesterday, specifically her third challenge. He couldn't stop thinking about it. After seeing the events of Marineford again, after so long, everything that had happened in the One Piece anime kept flaying through his mind. The strategies, the chaos, the choices—it all replayed vividly in his thoughts.

Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. He made a decision and spoke out loud. "I don't think it's time for me to go there in person yet," he said, his eyes glinting with calculated intent. "But I think I will give Imu and the Celestial Dragons a little gift… something to put them on edge before I go there in person. It should be enough to keep the World Government busy. And just to make sure everything works out, I'll send it at the start of Luffy's journey."

With a wave of his hand, Tet sent an orb of light through a portal.

Meanwhile, in the One Piece world, a pillar of light descended into the seas surrounding Mary Geoise. As World Government ships began to set sail, something massive rose from the water—rows of immense, blue-glowing dorsal plates. One of the sailors, eyes wide in terror, shouted, "What the hell is that?!"

Then, as it drew closer, it sank beneath the surf… only to rocket out of the water moments later. Four hundred feet tall. Monstrous. A lizard of unimaginable size. Its eyes glowed blue with raw, godlike power, its scales shimmering with an otherworldly energy. It stared directly at the incoming ships, and then, with a roar that shook the heavens, it unleashed a mighty blast of atomic fire.

The sailors didn't even have time to scream. The blast tore through their ships, incinerating everything in its path. With this opening salvo, the entire world would know one irrefutable truth: the King of Monsters had arrived. Its mission was singular, merciless, and clear—to deliver the wrath of God upon the World Government.

Seeing no survivors, the beast dove back into the waves, its presence a constant shadow over Mary Geoise, waiting patiently for its next victims.

Back home, Tet stared at a screen, watching how the One Piece world reacted to his little gift. A smile of satisfaction curved his lips. He had made sure Godzilla targeted only the World Government, the Celestial Dragons, and anyone foolish enough to attack him. Everyone else… as long as they stayed out of his way, was safe.

"The Five Elders will probably do something stupid," Tet murmured, amusement flickering in his eyes, "like dispatching the Marines to handle him. But I can say with confidence: short of Imu himself confronting Godzilla, there's nothing in that world that can bring him down."

He paused, tapping his fingers together thoughtfully. "If the tyrant actually decides to descend from his pedestal to attack Godzilla… well, I'll just have to speed my plans up. But for now, until I'm ready, Godzilla will ensure that no ships—sea or air—enter or leave Mary Geoise."

Tet leaned back, stretching leisurely. "Alright… on to other matters, like planning next week's activity."
