Salem POV:
I watched her out of the corner of my eye. She was calmer now, nibbling on a piece of chocolate absentmindedly. The storm was over—for now. But I could still feel her magic humming faintly in the air, like a current running beneath the surface. She was dangerous in this state—unpredictable. And me? I was sitting right next to the epicenter of the storm, a ticking time bomb wearing a fur coat.
I sighed—a tiny cat sigh, but a sigh nonetheless. How do I even start?
"Hey, Evie, remember that time you saved me? Well, I'm not exactly a normal cat. Surprise! I'm a winged dragon with a mission to preventing you from being a bomb in lucius hands and maybe also spy a little." Yeah, that would go over real well.
