A drop of sweat slowly trickled down Spes's forehead. The unnerving silence, paired with the oppressive darkness surrounding them, was starting to get to him. His nerves were fraying by the second. Were it not for the small, wavering light of the campfire offering some sense of comfort, he likely would've gone mad by now. The faint glow barely pierced through the thick veil of night, leaving them stranded in a world of shadows.
"Liber? Is the seed not detecting anything?" Spes asked through nearly unmoving lips, his voice low and strained. He shifted his head cautiously left and right, trying to locate any possible threat his party members were so alert about.
"Nothing on my side, brother. Maybe you guys are just overreacting?" Liber answered from within, his tone calm, filled with the usual confidence he had in the seed's scanning abilities.
