Chapter 4 - Chapter 2

Anduin POV

I looked at the champions gathered before me, and aside from Jaina and Khadgar, the only ones present were Varian, the Champion of Valor; Tirion, the Holy Champion of the Light; Bolvar, the Champion of the Sun; Thrall, the Champion of Elements; Baine, the Champion of Joy; Genn, the Champion of Loyalty; Sylvanas, the Champion of Rebellion; Turalyon, the Champion of Heaven; and Saurfang, the Champion of the Stalwart Heart. Each of my champions serves as a guardian on the other floors of Keep. However, not all my champions are here, indicating that they have their duties to attend to.

Genn: My king, how are you fairing? Are you well? Spoke with concern

Anduin: I am alright. I thank you for the concern, Genn.

Genn: sighs of relief Thank goodness, I am relieved to hear that, my king.

Saurfang: Do not underestimate our king, Greymane. He is stronger than all of us. Do not forget that. argued

Genn: I was not underestimating him; I was only worried for his well-being. argued back

Sylvanas: Oh, come on, you think Anduin would go down that easily. acting cocky

I was a bit surprised when she referred to me so casually, but then I remembered that I had included it in the backstory. Her mentor, Lady Windrunner—who is supposed to be my father's former ally—created Sylvanas, my distant relative, from herself and used her as an enforcer during her reign as Ranger-General of Silvermoon, before I, or rather Anduin, defeated her.

Varian: Do not forget Sylvanas; he may be strong with powerful equipment. However, he is as mortal as we are; he is no demigod.

Thrall: Agreed, do not let your pride in him become his downfall.

Sylvanas: Oh, shut up, who asked you anyway?! getting irritated

Baine: What they meant was that we just need to look after our king and not get ahead of ourselves. Trying to calm Sylvanas down

Bolvar: You speak true, my dear friend.

Sylvanas: Tch! Fine, I get it. Don't get a big head.

Turalyon: smiled I'm glad that has been resolved quickly.

Tirion: Yes, however, we need to give the king the news. worried

When Tirion said that, he sounded worried about something, but what was it?

Anduin: Please speak up. What news do you bring to my attention?

Saurfang stepped forward out of the group and bowed. "Your majesty, I'm afraid our situation is difficult to explain, but our kingdom is no longer where it once resided."

Anduin: What do you mean?

Saurfang: Our kingdom has been moved by some strange magic, my lord.

Anduin: Moved? surprised

Jaina: Yes, dear, our kingdom is no longer in Azeroth.

Varian: Our exact location remains a mystery. To the north of our kingdom lies a vast mountain range, while the ocean lies to the south. Thus, we are uncertain about how to proceed for now.

Anduin: How are the citizens? How are they fairing?

Varian: We were able to calm them during your slumber.

Anduin: Hmmm, how close are we to the mountains and to the sea? Can the citizens grow produce and raise livestock outside the kingdom?

Saurfang: Yes, my king, the distance is half a mile from the mountains and half a mile to the sea.

Anduin: Good. I believe some reconnaissance is in order. Getting out of my throne

Genn: Reconnaissance, do you mean journey outside the kingdom? surprised

Sylvanas: Oh hell yeah, finally some action! Punching her fist into her palm

Turalyon: This truly will be an experience to remember, Lord Varian. Looking to Varian

Varian: Indeed, especially in a foreign land we know nothing about.

Bolvar: Well then Baine and I will go gather some supplies for the journey.

Baine: Yeah, we'll meet you all at the gate in two hours. Following his friend out

Thrall: I will fetch the mounts.

Khadgar: Oh, finally, we get to explore outside the kingdom. What fun this will be!

We have set an objective to travel outside of Stormwind and discover what lies beyond the mountains. However, before we depart, I need to meet with the other champions, gather some special equipment from the royal armory, and practice my Light-based spells to understand how everything works now.

Anduin: Sylvanas, where is Lady Windrunner right now?

Sylvanas: Oh, she is still on her floor with her rangers and Aegwynn, too.

Anduin: So she is with Alleria, Alexstrasza, and Moira as well as Aegwynn.

Sylvanas: Yes, my king.

Anduin: Did you tell her of the kingdom's situation?

Sylvanas: Yeah, she sent out a summons to them and started having a meeting about it.

The three figures I remember—Alleria, Alexstrasza, and Moira—were Lady Windrunner's faithful champions before they joined the Alliance in their backstory. These three managed to rival Varian, Thrall, and Bolvar to a standstill while Anduin was able to reach Lady Windrunner and force her and her army to surrender and join the Alliance, allowing them to live together in peace. This mirrors the tale of Aegwynn, the Guardian of Tirisfal, who once held onto Shalamayne while waiting for Anduin's return after Light's Wrath was destroyed. Following the war with Lady Windrunner, she was invited to Stormwind to serve as a guardian.

Anduin: Good, I will see her personally. Jaina, can you teleport us to the 12th floor?

Jaina: Of course, Anduin. Khadgar, would you like to come with us?

Khadgar: No, I'm good. I need to prepare as well. I'll see you later! teleported away

Jaina: Let us be off.

She summoned her staff, Atiesh, the Staff of Selection, which has an important place in her backstory. This staff was created from the shattered sword Light's Wrath and was designed to find the one destined to follow the path walked by Anduin. It was Jaina who successfully pulled it from the stone.

Anduin: Alright, let's go.

As she teleported us, we arrived at the foot of a grand cathedral adorned in shades of blue and gold. Surrounding us was a lush enchanted forest beneath a starry sky. Upon entering the cathedral, we noticed a large circular throne at the far end, where none other than Lady Windrunner sat. By her side were Alleria, Alexstrasza, Moira, and Aegwynn.

Anduin: Lady Windrunner, we need to talk.
