The Chapter get Retranslated

The Kaiser Group's logo was a capital X, with a square above, below, to the left, and to the right of the letter.

The security guard at the entrance stood at attention and saluted the two. They entered the lobby, and Drake led Illumi towards the elevators.

There was a security gate in front of the elevators, requiring a Kaiser Group employee card to enter, but Drake simply asked the front desk lady for one.

"Beep!"

The security gate lit up green. Drake stepped aside, gesturing for Illumi to go first.

"Guest first, please."

Illumi calmly passed through the security gate. Drake then took out his own employee card and swiped it at the gate. After passing through, he returned the card to the front desk lady.

"Thanks, Arsenie. I'll treat you to dinner tonight."

Drake blew a kiss to the front desk lady, who remained expressionless, not even looking at him.

"Cold shoulder."

Drake, finding himself unamusing, shrugged and followed Illumi to the elevators.

After entering the elevator, Drake pressed the button for the 50th floor. Illumi thought the 50th floor must be where the chairman's office was located.

It was a high-speed elevator, incredibly fast. Standing inside, Illumi heard a "buzzing" sound in his ears.

Soon, about a minute later, the elevator stopped with a "ding," and the doors opened.

"Follow me."

Drake stepped out of the elevator first, with Illumi close behind.

They passed several spacious conference rooms, finally arriving at a solid wood door with the chairman's office sign on it.

Drake casually knocked on the door, "thump, thump," and without waiting for anyone to speak, he pushed the door open.

"We're coming in~"

He entered and immediately found a sofa to lie on.

The office's decor was neither luxurious nor extravagant; it was very simple. However, the few pieces of office furniture and decorations inside were clearly expensive at first glance.

Directly opposite Illumi as he entered, a grand solid wood desk stood in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, with a chair behind the desk facing away from Illumi.

"Mr. Drake, you're being too disrespectful in front of the chairman."

Next to the desk, the blonde secretary, dressed in a business suit, pushed up her gold-rimmed glasses and looked at Drake, who was lying on the sofa, her expression serious.

"Oh don't say that, Christina-chan"

"The relationship between the chairman and me doesn't require such cumbersome etiquette."

Drake sat up, looking at the blonde secretary standing next to the chairman's desk with a lecherous smile.

"Don't be too rude in front of guests, Drake."

At this moment, the person sitting in the office chair, with his back to Illumi at the door, spoke, slowly turning around.

"Nice to meet you. I am the Chairman of the Kaiser Group, Adkins Kaiser."

Illumi looked at the middle-aged man's wrinkled face: black hair combed back, a cigar in his mouth, a famous watch on his wrist, and a suit jacket.

He was estimated to be around forty years old, exuding an aura of dominance. He was also covered in a faint blue mist, representing calmness, composure, rationality, and caution.

"I apologize for inviting you at such a busy time."

"Mr. Illumi Zoldyck."

Adkins Kaiser flicked the cigar between his right index and middle fingers into the ashtray, then placed it there, clasping his hands in front of his chest.

"You are well aware of my identity, Mr. Chairman."

Illumi slowly walked towards Adkins, stopping in front of the desk, his expression blank.

Although the Zoldyck Family was famous, that was only among those who had reached a certain social class or higher. Ordinary people were not qualified to know, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't believe it.

"Killing, or killing?"

Adkins chuckled at the remark.

Then, he focused his gaze on Illumi, his expression gradually becoming serious.

"Conflict."

"Mr. Illumi, what do you think is the best way to resolve a conflict?"

"Kill."

Illumi said, simple and direct.

"Hahaha, as expected of a member of the Zoldyck Family, it truly fits the assassin's style."

Adkins couldn't help but laugh heartily at the reply, then his expression became serious again, and he continued.

"In a word, there are countless methods."

"Arbitration, negotiation, persuasion. And among these methods, especially effective is..."

"Violence."

"Directly suppressing hostile forces with violence stronger than theirs."

"This world, though seemingly prosperous on the surface, actually sees conflicts of blood for blood, repeating day and night in its shadows."

"And the source of all this is nothing but self-interest."

"Mutual coercion, deceit, hired assassinations, exhausting all means to kick competitors off the stage."

Adkins looked directly at Illumi, his voice low.

"A month ago, a project that the Kaiser Group was determined to win was snatched by another company."

Illumi, seeing that he had finally steered the conversation to the main topic after a long discourse, smiled and said.

"Alright."

"Hahahaha... Mr. Illumi is truly straightforward."

Adkins laughed heartily again, then picked up the cigar from the ashtray.

"But as far as I know, Mr. Illumi has yet to achieve any accomplishments in the field of assassination."

"I can kill Drake in one second."

Illumi's lips curved slightly. Drake, lying on the sofa, froze, then angrily strode towards Illumi.

"Don't think that just because you beat that useless Ivan Douglas, you can get carried away..."

Before Drake could finish speaking, Illumi vanished from his sight with a "swish."

"Bang!"

There was a jarring sound. When Drake reacted, he was already lying on the ground.

"Clap, clap, clap..."

Adkins applauded as he watched Illumi swiftly take down Drake.

"As expected of the Zoldyck Family, renowned for assassination. Even as a youth, he's not someone ordinary people can contend with."

"Hey, I haven't even used my full strength yet!"

Drake was unconvinced, stood up, and challenged Illumi again, but Illumi ignored him, pulled out a slip of paper, and tossed it to Adkins.

"Deposit the money into this account."

"Also, give me the target's information."

The slip of paper fell onto the desk. Adkins picked it up, glanced at it, handed it to his secretary, and nodded.

"No problem, the money and information are already prepared."

The blonde secretary handed the target's information, which she had already prepared, to Illumi. Illumi stood there, flipping through it for a long time.

"In three days, you will receive news of his death."

"Deposit the money into my account then."

After Illumi finished speaking, he walked towards the office door and disappeared from their sight.

"Are you sure this is alright?"

"Mr. Chairman."

Secretary Christina looked at Adkins, her face filled with worry.

"Even if he is from the Zoldyck Family, he's still just a youth."

Adkins didn't reply, taking a deep drag from his cigar and slowly exhaling a smoke ring, a smile playing on his lips.
