On a mountain road in the outskirts, five people were crouched in the grass, poking out half their heads, with one eye peering through the gaps in the grass to look outside.
The group comprised one slightly older young man with a pointed face and chin sporting a goatee, holding a wooden cane. The other four were young men, all plump and dark-skinned, looking both simple and silly.
The five of them hid in the grass for a long time, motionless, their eyes fixed on the small road, as if they were waiting for something.
The grass was full of mosquitoes and bugs, constantly crawling onto the five and biting them over and over.
Yet the five of them bore it all without moving, letting the mosquitoes leave one red bump after another on their faces.
Finally, one young man couldn't bear it any longer and said to the slightly older one: "Master, how long do we have to wait? We've been here for three days now, and not a single person has passed by."
