"This pure gold skateboard was a gift from my friend; it has nothing to do with my father-in-law. My friend wanted to surprise me, but he's quite low-key, which is why his full name wasn't left on the gift list. It's that simple."
"Is it that simple?" Gu Chao looked at Chu Ge with a half-smile, letting out a faint hum through his nose, "If that's the case, could you ask your friend to come out and meet us?"
Although he said this, Gu Chao's expression clearly showed disbelief. To him, this was just an excuse Chu Ge was using to absolve Qin Yan.
