The woman pushed open the large door and led the group out of the golden hall. It was pitch black all around, and Bologue could feel the ground shaking slightly. In the distance, he could faintly hear the howling wind.
Another door opened in the darkness, and the scent of fine wine wafted from behind it. It was a vast banquet hall, with rows of long tables within, heaped with plates covered in food scraps, like mountains piled on the tables, and diners as large as hills seated on either side.
Waiters pushing carts brought dish after dish to the tables, but the food was devoured by the diners almost as soon as it was set down. The pace of serving gradually couldn't keep up with the diners' consumption. Some hungry diners directly grabbed a waiter, pinned them on the table, and countless hands reached over, quickly tearing apart the waiter into fragments, leaving only bloodied bones.
Bologue asked, "What is all this?"
