"Hum... Hum... Humm!"
The quiet humming echoed eerily through the dim corridors of the Military Base.
For a while, it was the only sound breaking the tense silence.
Then, without warning, a deep mechanical groan filled the air as the massive steel dome above began to part. Gears screeched and metal shifted, revealing the vast expanse of the night sky.
The moon hung high and radiant, its silver glow brilliant and untamed. Yet, curiously, not a single beam touched the earth below. The light halted unnaturally at the perimeter, as if forbidden from crossing into the territory cloaked in darkness.
"FLASHHH!"
Suddenly, a blinding arc of concentrated energy shot down from above, cutting across the air like a divine judgment. It howled as it descended, searing through the atmosphere with a hiss that made the sky tremble. The energy burned with such intensity that the very air warped and shimmered around it.
And then—
"BOOM!"
A thunderous explosion ripped through the land.
