Many actors don't watch their own works.
In an interview, Wu Gang said: "I generally don't watch my own shows. It's rather torturous. As I watch, I feel I could have handled this part better, or that there might be other ways of expression. I find a bunch of flaws with myself, but I can't change them. It's really frustrating."
Zhou Xingxing also doesn't watch the works he's in: "I don't watch, unless I forget I was in the show. I feel it would be very awkward."
There are many others.
Chow Yun-fat, Huo Jianhua, Liang Chaowei, Liu Dehua, Chen Jianbin, and so on have all made similar statements.
Some of these people are just being pretentious, but most actors truly don't watch.
However, there are some actors who will review their performances frame by frame.
It's for self-improvement.
Qi Hao is somewhere in between; whether he watches or not mainly depends on his mood.
