"Sealed Judgment Documents" were a type of document stamped with a seal from Japan's Middle Ages up to the end of the early modern era. There were usually two kinds: red-sealed and black-sealed. But during Japan's Warring States Period, there wasn't much difference between the two—they were both official documents for issuing orders, commonly used for granting land, assigning property or fields, moving supplies, or making administrative adjustments like shifting someone's position.
