"Hmph, reading the newspaper in the middle of the night, either you're brain-dead or mentally unstable!" Ye Chen chuckled coldly.
"Get him!" The two men behind lunged at Ye Chen. By this time, the door of the Chevrolet van had already opened, and three armed men descended from the vehicle. Surrounding Ye Chen from three angles, they pointed their guns at him. The leading man sternly shouted, "Stop, or we'll shoot!"
"Brandishing guns in broad daylight, it truly is people from a special department!" Ye Chen said with a cold smile.
"Ye Chen, you're under arrest. We're the Ministry of State Security!" The leading man pulled out a green badge from his pocket. It read: Ministry of State Security of the People's Republic of China. Ye Chen glanced at it briefly; the badge was genuine. Clearly, someone had their sights set on him. Curious, Ye Chen asked, "Strange, why would you be interested in someone like me, a law-abiding citizen?"
