Deng family villa, in an antique and brightly lit study.
A black-clad elderly man in traditional Chinese attire sat on a soft sofa, reading a book.
The elder had a kindly demeanor, but it was not hard to detect an air of authority within his kindness.
This air of authority was merely obscured by his gentleness.
This kindly elder was none other than Master Deng of the Deng family, Deng Fangzhen.
Deng Ziyu, donned in pink pajamas, also sat beside her grandfather, reading a book.
"Ziyu, the Wu family boy you told me about last night intended to harm you. How do you want Grandpa to deal with him?" Master Deng said while keeping his gaze on the book.
"Grandpa, it's not necessary. He won't dare approach me again," Deng Ziyu replied nonchalantly to her grandfather.
Master Deng's gaze lifted from the book, looking at Deng Ziyu, with a slight frown.
His precious granddaughter seemed a bit different tonight.
Her eyes were bright, and her lips subtly curved into a smile.
