Sensing that something was off with his consciousness, Lann immediately sought out the 'butler' in his brain.
The biochemical intelligent brain and the main consciousness were connected, so Lann didn't need to instruct it; Mentos had already handed over his report.
"According to my biological timing system, we have been in this night for nearly seven hours. The incense Mr. Gascogne sent back is being consumed normally."
"But the sky and the lunar phase don't look like seven hours have passed!" Lann pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming on. "Why didn't you report this?"
Mentos paused for a moment, seemingly conducting some sort of system self-check. Once the process was complete, it finally made a report.
