Chapter 30 - Chapter 24: What Plan?_2

"Yes, that's what I meant." King Snake nodded, "We'd be better off going out first, see if we can find an excuse, hold them off for a few seconds, then gain the upper hand by shooting first."

When King Snake wasn't pulling side jobs, his mind was quite clear.

He could quickly assess the situation.

"Indeed." Zhang Feng had been mixing in this scene for over a year, and he knew the temper of these desperados.

And he knew what King Snake was saying would most likely happen.

After all, they're all living outside the boundaries of morality and law, they definitely wouldn't entrust their life and death to others.

As for threatening them with their boss? Forcing them to surrender? Wait for death?

They'd sooner kill their own boss, eliminating the first threat at the source, leaving no subsequent waiting-to-die issue.

So, Zhang Feng walked over to Little Tiger, raised his sturdy rain boot, 'crack' and broke Little Tiger's neck with a kick.

"King Snake, I've handled it, let's go."

"Go!" King Snake sighed inwardly at Zhang Feng's efficiency, then looked at Shun'er and the others, "Follow your Brother Feng's arrangements, see how to handle the outside, how to charge!"

"Yes! Brother Snake!"

"Brother Feng, what do I need to do?"

Shun'er and the others gathered around again.

This time, the backbone was Zhang Feng.

But truth be told.

Zhang Feng had never been in a 'gunfight' before.

As for a concrete plan, Zhang Feng really didn't have one.

He could only play it by ear.

"Let's check out the situation first."

Zhang Feng was thinking of a strategy as he led everyone to the door.

They listened for a few seconds.

People outside seemed to be chatting and laughing, unaware of the situation inside yet.

This made sense, given it was over sixty meters away.

"Open the door." Zhang Feng looked at Shun'er and the others.

King Snake had no objections, he just nodded and told them, "Listen to your Brother Feng."

Zhang Feng's exceptional skills and calm demeanor made King Snake feel that Zhang Feng probably had a plan in mind.

Meanwhile, Shun'er and the others also had strong faith in Zhang Feng.

'Previously, Brother Feng faced three mercenaries and boxing champion Taron with the same calm.'

They thought, and obediently followed Zhang Feng's orders, quickly standing on both sides of the doorknob and pulled hard.

Crash—

The door slowly opened.

Zhang Feng gave King Snake and the crew cut one a push, directing them to move behind the door.

"Brother Feng!" The crew cut one was a bit worried and wanted to move closer, but was stopped by Zhang Feng's warning glance.

After just having been set up, King Snake was now more careful with his life and quickly hid away.

Zhang Feng stood in the middle, saw the door had opened half a meter, and saw the people outside were scattered.

Some were squatting by the door smoking, others chatting not far away.

But nearby above, no one was standing on any of the abandoned big vehicles.

In the rules of the underworld's trade, no one is allowed at the high ground.

Because if someone above set up a gun, the ones below would basically be marked for death.

Crash—

The door continued to open.

The rusted door's creaking sound also drew everyone's attention.

"They came out..."

Both sides started heading toward the door.

"Brother Snake."

The gunmen brought by King Snake were okay.

When they saw King Snake and the slightly exposed Zhang Feng, Shun'er, and others, they didn't think anything was amiss.

But Little Tiger's people paused at the absence of Little Tiger, stopping in front of the door.

Others further away stayed put and looked inside,

"Where's Brother Hu?"

"Brother Snake, why haven't our people come out?"

"Answer me, King Snake! Don't hide behind the damn door!"

As they questioned, they instinctively reached for their guns.

"Fire!" Zhang Feng suddenly shouted, then darted towards the nearest gunman.

No plans, no arrangements.

This was Zhang Feng's best thought for a breakout, shouting fire and going for it!

After the fight, he'd gain experience for the future.

Bang!

The first gunshot came from King Snake's side.

He shot the nearest gunman next to him.

At the same time, Zhang Feng moved behind a gunman at the factory gate, locked his neck with his left hand, using him as a shield, and disarmed him with his right hand, holding the gun.

Bang bang bang!

A string of gunshots rang out in front of the repair shop.

Relying on his reflexes and shooting skills, Zhang Feng fired two consecutive shots, taking out the two people closest to him.

They were beside a scrapped vehicle, with nowhere to hide behind them.

Zhang Feng shot each in the left chest and directly in the chest.

Before they could fall, the air was filled with the sound of 'da da da' gunfire covering.

Both sides opened fire, the sounds of machine guns and handguns mingling as each sought cover.

King Snake and Shun'er had no guns, they could only hide behind the door.

After glancing at Shun'er and the others, Zhang Feng used a body for cover, moved to the back of the scrapped car, and looked at the two gunmen's pistols.

One gunman he shot in the chest was still weakly struggling.

The other's pistol had fallen from his hand, and he was already lifeless.

Crack—

Zhang Feng kicked the neck of the struggling gunman, then kicked both their pistols toward Shun'er and the others' location.

However, one pistol fired accidentally when Zhang Feng kicked it, hitting a car not far away and sparking a lot of sparks.

Shun'er and the others were startled, but quickly picked up the kicked guns and fired back outside.

Bang bang!

Zhang Feng fired two more shots, forcing back a gunman trying to approach, then dragged the three bodies to cover the car's back.

He slightly opened a gap.

And slightly turned his head.

Zhang Feng was observing, learning from the experience.

In a brisk exchange, five gunmen brought by King Snake had fallen.

Four were motionless, bullets occasionally hitting them.

"Ahhh!" Another had his leg hit, lay sideways on the ground, madly pulling the trigger toward the enemy.

The craziness of drug traffickers was on full display at this moment.

But as the opponent's gunfire came, a bullet hit his cheek, blasting it open, and he stopped moving.

Bang bang...

Meanwhile, the gunfire slowly subsided.

Boom—

Accompanied by the blast of a high-explosive grenade.

In less than a minute of intense gunfight, only one from the other side was weakly retaliating.

Besides Zhang Feng, King Snake, and Shun'er, there were seven gunmen from King Snake left.

One still held a grenade pin in hand, with a face full of excitement.

He felt proud! He had just blown up two people with one grenade!

Zhang Feng glanced at him, then at the open space where the gunfight happened.

There were plenty of bodies, from both sides, all dying in the process of finding cover or fleeing.

Boom boom—

At this moment, the last one from the other side fired while retreating, reached their vehicle, floored the accelerator, intending to escape.

Da da da!

A machine gunner from King Snake's side reacted quickly, chasing out from behind cover, and stood in the open area, coldly firing at the car.

"Stop him!" King Snake waved his handgun, popping off shots forward.

"Don't let him escape!" The others fired while chasing.

But because of the distance, many bullets merely hit the car's trunk, which made it hard to shoot the driver.

Zhang Feng, however, didn't fire, instead, judged the distance, ran a few steps, and grabbed a finger-thick rusty rebar from the ground.

Sasha—

As Zhang Feng ran swiftly, the rebar scratched along the concrete of the repair shop, sending up a spray of sparks.

The intense friction gradually made the rebar's tip sharper.

"Get aside!"

Zhang Feng shouted; Shun'er and the others instinctively moved to the sides.

Whoosh!

Thirty meters from the car.

Zhang Feng suddenly threw the rebar straight forward.

Clang—

The rebar easily pierced through the rear glass, and its hot tip went through the driver's seat, penetrating the back of the driver. As it seared through the flesh, emitting a sizzle, it pinned him to the vehicle's steering wheel.

Thud—

The out-of-control car crashed into a tree off the dirt road.

A short yet fierce skirmish came to a close.
