Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Grand Vision of the City of the Future!

Regarding how to develop Jade Island, and how to develop it well, Jiang Cheng has been thinking a lot these days and has begun making many preparations.

But it must be said, developing an island is by no means a matter of a single day; it's a hugely complex systemic project with numerous aspects and intricacies involved.

Faced with such a complex project, even with the Island Tycoon System in hand, Jiang Cheng felt utterly exhausted and mentally drained.

After much thought, he simply abandoned the idea of forming a comprehensive planning document and instead, based on Jade Island's natural circumstances, crafted a "Jade Island Preliminary Planning Outline".

This "Planning Outline" covers various aspects of developing Jade Island, including zoning within the island, functional positioning of different areas, the construction of traffic and shipping system networks, as well as site selections for some important future projects, etc.

Though the outline doesn't detail future island constructions, the general framework has already been established. Now, Jiang Cheng needs to gradually fill in the gaps within this framework to ultimately complete his grand island development endeavor!

Building an island, especially one as large as Jade Island, must not be done recklessly but requires scientific and rational approaches.

According to Jiang Cheng's vision, on Jade Island's vast land spanning 3600 square kilometers, it is entirely feasible to build 2 to 3 international metropolises and 3 to 5 world-renowned resort areas.

To achieve this grand goal, the first thing Jiang Cheng must do is to divide Jade Island into regions for future rational development.

Regarding zoning of urban areas, Jiang Cheng primarily follows the principle of "adapt to the shape of mountains and rivers, and suit measures to local conditions", which means zoning administrative areas based on natural geographic features like mountains and rivers.

The main island of Jade Island is roughly elliptical, with a north-south length of about 527 kilometers and an east-west length of about 283 kilometers, mostly consisting of basins and plains, with flat terrain within the island.

On the north and south sides of the island, there are two large freshwater lakes, namely the "Weishan Lake", nestled by the mountains, and the "Fuyue Lake", resembling a crescent moon.

These two lakes connect with seven main rivers on the island, constituting the entire ecological water system of Jade Island.

Based on natural conditions such as the island's mountain ranges, terrain, and water sources, Jiang Cheng took decisive action and directly divided Jade Island into three major urban districts and four major resort special zones.

The three major urban districts are Laputa District, Gangsa District, and Loulan District.

The four major resort special zones are Dream Paradise Resort Special Zone, Volcano Park Resort Special Zone, Blue Cave Resort Special Zone, and Angel Beach Resort Special Zone.

The names of these districts are, of course, not randomly chosen but hold deep meanings for Jiang Cheng.

First, Laputa City.

The inspiration for the name of this city came from a world-famous book Jiang Cheng read in his previous life—"Gulliver's Travels".

In this book, a place named "Laputa" was mentioned, which means "floating island" in Latin, also known as Sky City!

Regarding this city, many comics and literary works have also cited it and imagined various beautiful scenarios about it.

Over time, Laputa, the city built among the clouds, has become synonymous with unreachable human technologies and flourishing lands, praised and yearned by people around the world.

In Jiang Cheng's plan, Laputa City embodies his ambition of the "Sky City" as the core of his future commercial empire and island empire!

All science fiction architecture, mega projects, black technologies, and future technologies from the system will come to fruition here, dazzling the eyes of the world!

Next, Gangsa City.

Gangsa, or "Gyanzar", means "land of wanderers" in Latin, essentially a city of nomads.

In Jiang Cheng's vision, he hopes to build an enchanting metropolis with vibrant life that attracts people to linger and never want to leave.

This city is full of warmth, embracing diverse cultures, and has its unique charm, providing the world with a peaceful harbor, enabling people to feel the warmth of home even when in a foreign land, and have a unique sense of belonging.

Gangsa City is destined to be such a city in the future.

Finally, Loulan City.

Loulan, originally an ancient city in the Western Regions, is a name full of mystery in human history, and for all Hua Country people, it's a name that feels quite familiar.

It once had a glorious civilization, giving it an irreplaceable position in the history of world culture and forming the "Loulan Culture", a human landscape acclaimed worldwide.

Luntai Ancient City, Qie Mo Ruins, Ancient Tomb Complex, Ancient Beacon Tower, Mummies, Ancient Rock Paintings, Han Language Documents, Five-zhu Coins...

Various unearthed artifacts all testify that on this now barren, desolate land of the Western Regions, a magnificent civilization once arose, drawing attention from around the world.

As for the cause of its disappearance, it remains an unsolved mystery to this day.

Some say it was due to a powerful country's invasion and destruction from war, others attribute it to ecological degradation and water source depletion, while some speculate it was due to plague and biological invasion.

In short, the theories are diverse.

No matter the cause, this mysterious land of Loulan once fostered a dazzling oasis civilization, worshiped and reminisced by the world until today.

Jiang Cheng named his city this way with an obvious intention: he wants to build another city that is distinct from the Sky City and Nomad City.

The City of Civilization!

In this city, countless museums, art galleries, libraries, technology centers, future halls, and aerospace museums will be constructed in the future, encompassing great civilizations from all eras and even from deep in the universe, housing treasures, artifacts, and riches Jiang Cheng has gathered from around the world.

The three major urban districts will be the economic lifeline of the future Jade Island. They will collectively carry all of Jiang Cheng's visions for the "City of the Future", providing lasting and robust impetus for achieving Jiang Cheng's ultimate dream of creating the first empire!

It is foreseeable that within the three major urban districts, grand architectures such as Skyscrapers, mega malls, and future factories will be abundant.

Meanwhile, this area will also become the densest population hub globally, possessing the most advanced transportation networks, most renowned higher education institutions, busiest commercial districts, and most open free economy, directly affecting global finance, politics, culture, education, and entertainment in all aspects.

In essence, this is the center of the entire world, a future land filled with passion and vitality, continuously capturing the attention of everyone around the globe!

...

As for the four major resort special zones, their positioning is different from cities; they will be places where people can gain entertainment and relaxation after tense and busy work.

The naming approach derives from Jiang Cheng's reference to representative natural landscapes.

Here, there are unique natural wonders like the enchanting "C"-shaped bays, extensive volcanic pillar groups, magnificent deep-sea blue caves, and pristine romantic white beaches, etc.

These resort special zones will be Jiang Cheng's next development focus, holding significant status in his future tourism industry plans, and are intended to earn him his first bucket of wealth in life!
