As expected, behind Aik, a giant bear over two meters tall was chasing him, and the Wandering Knight was running clumsily, with the gap between him and the bear gradually shortening.

"Foolish, how can you run uphill when facing a giant bear? He'll be caught soon!" Laine immediately picked up his Warhammer and started sprinting towards the bear.

Facing a bear, one should never run uphill. Bears are extremely fast uphill because their forelimbs are short, and hind limbs are longer and powerful, making their uphill speed incredibly fast. Even the fastest humans have difficulty outpacing bears.

The correct approach is to run downhill. In such situations, due to their short forelimbs, bears can easily tumble and roll, allowing humans to often get away from them.

A huge bear spirit, standing up could be three to four meters high, its gray fur covered with dust and snow, eyes red, and its wide-open mouth filled with sharp fangs and drooling saliva stringing out.

"Roar~ Roar~~" The bear spirit got closer to Aik. Laine and Rost sprinted towards it at top speed, shouting as they ran, "What's happening, Aik?"

"I...I just wanted to find a place to relieve myself!" Wandering Knight Aik's eyes darted around nervously before he quickly switched topics, "Quick, save me!"

Laine was the first to arrive, holding his Warhammer, carefully observing the gigantic bear spirit.

The bear spirit suddenly stopped too, seemingly realizing that the humans in front of it were not ordinary. It paused about ten meters from Laine, standing firm and cautiously studying the man with the Warhammer.

The fur was dusty and snow-covered. The size and length of its claws suggested this brown bear was at least over ten years old.

Bloodshot eyes, movements relatively sluggish, and then... hmm, no wonder, Laine gave Aik a hard look and then said to Rost, "I'll confront it, you find an opportunity."

"Okay!" The Barbarian said no more and pushed back slowly. Aik hastily got up and drew his Longsword, "The Albrecht Clan's offspring never admit defeat!"

The gigantic bear spirit looked around and finally chose what seemed to be the easiest target to bully, then roared and charged at Laine.

"Damn, I knew it'd be me!" Laine cursed, immediately rolling to dodge. The bear's strength far exceeded that of humans, and even though he possessed an Extraordinary Physique, he didn't dare to take a direct hit. This bear spirit over ten years old was at least Elite Middle Tier in challenge level, its strength not necessarily weaker than his.

Among the three, Aik wore a chain armor paired with chest armor and held a Longsword and shield, making him appear difficult to take down. Rost was tall and strong, using a Long Spear—a weapon undesirable to the bear spirit—so he was naturally not the bear spirit's priority target.

The feeling of rolling on the grassland was fine, even though he was immediately covered in weeds and snow. Laine quickly got up and backed away again, the bear spirit's massive paw missing its target, with the cold wind from its swipe biting into Laine's face.

Aik seized the opportunity, the Wandering Knight picked up his Kite Shield, the sturdy shield striking the bear spirit's head.

Shield Bash!

The heavy shield collided with the bear spirit's head, causing it a brief dizziness. This tactic could not do much damage to the bear spirit, but it effectively suppressed its actions.

The strong dizziness halted the bear spirit's movement, and seizing the moment, Rost thrust his Long Spear into the bear spirit's vulnerable waist, "Taste this!"

The spear tip pierced into the bear spirit's black fur but couldn't penetrate deeper. Rost sensed trouble and quickly let go, "Oh! Damn~"

"Roar!" The bear spirit swung its front paw horizontally, hitting the Barbarian in the ribs before he could retreat. He cried out in pain, with bright red blood trickling down from the corner of his mouth. Rost immediately withdrew from the battle circle, clutching his ribs, already suffering internal injuries.

The bear spirit was about to pursue when the incoming Warhammer made it sense danger, instinctively giving up the chase and pouncing at Laine instead. Laine stood in place, pivoted, and the Warhammer's head struck the bear spirit's shoulder directly.

"Crack~" The sound of bones breaking, with the bear spirit howling in pain.

Next, it's time to test the previous effort, Laine thought to himself.

The Spiritual Energy swirled around his left hand, a pale blue surrounding his fingers.

"First, Level 0 Trick Light Technique, go!" The pale blue Spiritual Energy formed a light orb, directly hitting the bear spirit's eyes, causing it acute discomfort.

"Then..." With a flick on the Warhammer, the fine iron hammerhead emitted a heavy mist quickly condensing into frost covering the surface.

Thunder Strike! Laine slammed the Warhammer onto the ground, with ice covering a two-meter radius, and a thick frost enveloping the bear spirit, temporarily freezing it in place.

The distant support quickly arrived as well.

The first arrow hit the bear spirit's shoulder. Before it could react, the second and third arrows hit its forelimb and chest respectively.

Then the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth arrows followed, soon turning the bear spirit into a porcupine. The guards and mercenaries had surrounded the bear spirit, and now, even the bear spirit realized something was wrong. It roared, causing dizziness to those nearby, then suddenly curled into a ball and rolled downhill, stirring up a cloud of dust.

The bear spirit rolled quickly, covering several dozen meters in just a few breaths, with no sign of slowing.
