Laine suddenly looked up, seeing the Lake Fairy with a faint smile in her eyes appearing before him. His conversation partner, Amelia, seemed startled by the presence of the Lake Fairy, hiding behind a piece of furniture with tearful eyes, trembling all over.
"My Lady, this is a misunderstanding. I thought it was Amelia who was welcoming me." Laine immediately knelt on one knee and quickly defended himself, "I didn't know of your arrival."
"Now you know." The Lake Fairy was well aware Laine had mistaken her for someone else, but the goddess didn't mind. She signaled for Amelia to come out from behind the furniture, "Come out, maid. I will not harm you."
"Greetings, Your Excellency, Lady of the Lake!" Only then did Amelia cautiously emerge from behind the furniture, the little maid delicately grasping her skirt, performing a respectful bow.
