In the evening, the City Hall hosted yet another grand banquet, lighting up the beautiful night sky. It was the last night that Griffin Duke Ivan and Baron Laine Gene would spend in Marinburg. The next day, Ivan would lead the army back to the Rick Territory, and Laine would follow Brittania's troops to the Knight Kingdom beyond the mountains.
The negotiations between the Empire and Marinburg were still unresolved, but they had reached many agreements. What's left is the long process of filling in the gaps, and Ivan would not stay any longer.
So, this night, Laine and his godfather had several drinks together. Anton, who had been seriously injured in the charge, did not attend the evening's banquet.
"That brat from the past has really grown up." In the opulent banquet hall, Ivan raised a full glass of wine and toasted Laine: "This glass is to my godson, wishing you all the best in the future."
