She pushed Rowena's wheelchair, called Bian to stop, and even Miss Keroy, who had poked her head out after hearing the keyword "eat," was taken away by Ave, leaving plenty of space for Ethan and Lindong.

"Teacher."

"Hmm?"

Lindong turned her face again.

"Do you have something on your mind lately? Is it because we're going back to the imperial capital soon?"

Ethan knew the imperial capital held significant meaning for Lindong. It was half her hometown, and north of the capital was the northern territory, where her kin lived deep in the snow and wind, and a few at the top of her "hit list" were currently in the capital city.

It's understandable to have mixed emotions. "If there's anything troubling you, you can tell me."

"It has nothing to do with the capital."

Lindong was never a sentimental person, nor did she ever fall into self-doubt out of confusion. What could bother her and make her daydream were always academic problems.
