This area had been specially designated by the rulers of Broken Town as lodging for outsiders.

The rent for one house was one Silver Snake per week.

Considering the surrounding environment and the size of the houses, if this were in the Homeland Sea, such a price would be akin to robbery.

To Alka's surprise, even the people on this island used Silver Snakes for transactions.
