Alka and the others, alerted by Julia, had already moved away and reached the top of the pit. Here, they no longer felt the suction from the rift and were temporarily safe.
"Why is there a space rift here?" Chadite asked with a frown. During the previous three days, while mapping the area, they had seen a space rift identical to this one. Julia, who had noticed the anomaly, was evidently able to answer this question.
"The space rift was created because the space we were just in shattered. This caused the Rules to become chaotic and conflict with each other," Julia replied. She frowned slightly as she spoke, a hint of helplessness in her voice. "If the surrounding spatial Rules were complete, such problems wouldn't occur, but... it's too chaotic."
