Watching the island draw nearer, Alka slid down. She arrived at the edge of the deck, looking at the island passing by their side.
Everyone glanced at each other, seeing the shock in each other's eyes.
"What's going on? This is Broken Island, right? Look over there, there are still traces of where we stayed," Simon said, pointing to a spot on the island's beach.
"This place always manages to shock you just when you think you're used to it," Julia muttered.
As a preserver of natural order, she had long since thrown in the towel. Since life hadn't changed anything in this sea, what could she, as a believer, do? All I can do is quietly watch and get used to this sea, she resolved.
