He slumped down entirely, an armchair appearing out of thin air to catch him. He collapsed heavily onto it. His whole body went slack; the recent transformation had almost completely drained his Magic Power and physical strength. He now had practically no strength left, not even enough to stand. Yet, he could also feel Magic Power steadily re-accumulating within him, his strength returning. He just needed a short rest.
But more than his exhaustion, he was focused on the immense gains from his touch. Alka's eyes were wide with disbelief. It was a long while before he recovered his senses.
He closed his eyes. After a moment, he opened them again. The dazzling light had now vanished, withdrawn by him, but Alka's eyes had already changed color.
