Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Otherworld Incident Investigation Bureau

When Pei Yan gave his answer, Old Hu raised an eyebrow, about to scold, but was stopped by Elder Lin's hand, who calmly and kindly asked, "What's wrong, do you have something difficult to discuss?"

Pei Yan moved his wrist and scratched his head, "Well, there are too many people here, and..."

"And what!" Xiaogao interrupted.

"And there are women," Pei Yan's face turned red as he said this.

Everyone was momentarily stunned upon hearing this but quickly understood the key point. Old Hu chuckled and asked, "Is it because of the clothing problem?"

Pei Yan nodded repeatedly upon hearing this, "Yes, after my mechanical transformation, my body becomes much taller than it is now, and the clothes can't withstand it and get stretched out. I once ripped my shorts at home."

Everyone showed an expression of understanding. Among them, there were also transformation-type ability users who had faced similar issues. Although there were solutions, they hadn't prepared today. Elder Lin smiled and said, "Alright, I'll have everyone turn around, and you can change clothes." Saying that, everyone in the room turned around with smiles on their faces.

"Also, those SWAT officers outside the glass room."

Old Hu sighed and waved to Xiaowang beside him. Xiaowang quickly ran outside the glass room and loudly gave the order. The sound of boot heels clicking against the ground followed, and all the SWAT officers outside turned around.

Pei Yan looked at Old Hu, who was still staring straight at him. Wenlin tossed his empty soda bottle aside and awkwardly started to undress.

"Hurry up, we're all men, what are you afraid of seeing!" Old Hu urged, holding back laughter seeing Pei Yan dragging his feet at the end.

Pei Yan simply gritted his teeth, holding his clothes to cover his crotch, pulled off his underwear, and at the moment he pulled down, with a thought, he completed a full-body mechanization with a sound of metal friction.

Everyone in the room turned around at the sound, looking at Pei Yan standing with clothes in hand, marveling and unable to resist stepping forward to touch and explore.

Xiaogao observed Pei Yan's crotch with great interest. It didn't transform into the mechanical little thing she imagined but rather produced two curved iron plates that perfectly covered his private parts, quite humanistically.

Elder Lin was interested in touching Pei Yan's limbs and chest. It was indeed mechanization, not simple metal-covered armor; it was mechanization from inside to out. Not to mention feeling a pulse, Elder Lin couldn't even detect a human heartbeat at Pei Yan's chest. Instead, there was a powerful energy replacing Pei Yan's heart, supporting the operation of his body, and this energy was something the higher-ups were most interested in. It was an energy source different from all the known ability users.

"After turning into a machine, do you still have a sense of touch?" Elder Lin looked up at Pei Yan and patiently asked. Originally much shorter than Old Hu, after mechanization, Pei Yan shot up in height, now slightly taller than the two-meter-tall Old Hu.

"I can't feel it; I lose my sense of touch after mechanization." Saying this, Pei Yan reached out to touch his cheek, feeling the cold metal sliding across, but his hand couldn't feel the warmth of his face.

Wenlin circled Pei Yan a few times, touching his chin in admiration, "Quite an impressive ability, just lacks a bit of protection on the head, it would be great to have a helmet."

"I can try!" Pei Yan said, starting to manipulate with his mind. With a 'click,' streams of silvery white liquid iron flowed from his shoulders, suddenly surged to his head, and with a muffled 'bang,' the iron flow closed together, enveloping Pei Yan's head perfectly, transforming into a seamless iron ball.

"Woo woo woo! Why is it a ball?" A muffled, panicked cry came from inside the iron ball, with Pei Yan helplessly banging his iron shell.

"That's a head of iron indeed!" Xiaowang saw Pei Yan spinning in place, cracking a joke with a laugh.

"Still joking, save him!" Elder Lin snapped into action, about to lend a hand when Pei Yan's iron helmet naturally dissipated, turning into an iron flow and returning into his body, leaving a panting Pei Yan supporting himself on his knees.

,

Old Hu went forward and patted Pei Yan's back, comforting him, "It's okay! You're just not yet familiar with controlling your abilities; after trying a few more times in the future, you'll be fine."

"Mm!"

Elder Lin nodded with satisfaction, looking at Pei Yan's body, "The rest of the matters, you discuss them. We won't interfere. Have a productive conversation!" After saying that, he gave Old Hu a meaningful look and then turned to leave the glass house with the others.

"Come with me," Old Hu helped Pei Yan up and took him to the interrogation table. At this time, the policewoman had just finished tidying the files on the table, glanced at the two approaching, and said to Old Hu, "Captain Hu, then I'll head out first."

"Mm, right, leave me your pen and a few pages of paper."

"Yup, sure."

After reorganizing the paper, Old Hu lifted his chair and set it in front of the table, signaling Pei Yan to sit down while he sat in the policewoman's chair, placing his hands on the long table, "Alright, I've asked you so many questions, now you can ask anything you wonder about. Let's start with a self-introduction, my name is Hu Wenjun. You can call me Officer Hu, Uncle Hu, or if you feel close, Brother Hu, I don't mind."

"Officer Hu, who exactly are you all? Surely you aren't just ordinary police, right?" Pei Yan deactivated his upper body's mechanization, returned to his flesh form, and while pulling clothes over his head, asked.

"What do you think? What organization are we?" Hu Wenjun clasped his hands together and smiled, watching Pei Yan.

"Dragon Group? Fifth Category Special Forces? Superhero? Divine Spear Bureau..." Pei Yan mentioned a series of mysterious organization names he'd heard of.

Hu Wenjun stopped Pei Yan's guesses with a hand gesture, chuckled, and said, "Stop guessing, or you'll end up mentioning the Avengers Alliance. Our full organizational name is the Otherworld Incident Investigation Bureau, but inside, we prefer to jokingly call it the Otherworldly Affairs Office."

"Otherworldly Affairs Office?"

Hu Wenjun got up, walked outside the glass room, and returned soon after with a plastic bag. He handed a Sprite to the bewildered Pei Yan, took a can of beer for himself, and relaxed back into his seat, taking a sip, "Yes, precisely, Otherworld Police Station. If I asked you to evaluate this world we're in now, what kind of world do you think it is?"

"A beautiful world? Cold-blooded? Harmonious?" Pei Yan replied, twisting the cap of the Sprite and frowning.

Cut off by these answers, Hu Wenjun coughed twice and waved a hand, "No, no, no, I don't mean in an abstract, emotional, artistic sense. I mean the foundation pushing forward our human society's civilization."

"Uh, there are many aspects, but if I have to say, it's technology!" Pei Yan answered, taking a sip of Sprite.

"Yes, technology. In some aspects, this world can be called the Technology Plane, also known as the Foundation Plane."

"Foundation Plane?"
