Chapter 63 - Panic

He tightened up again, the grin disappearing as though reflecting through the chaos.

"You were so harsh and mean to her. You practically made her go through pain all the time. How's that supposed to be ignored?"

My chest heaved as his words spun through the walls of my heart, breaking a part of me that had long been still.

"You left her to rot in that cursed cell and even threatened her with it, choosing to believe every single lie you were told instead of hers." he spoke out firmly.

"But I had to come through. You wouldn't let me ignore an innocent heart bleeding to be heard," he added with a laughter that ignored the flames of disaster burning in my heart.

I moved over, mouthing his cheek, but he shoved aside, and my hands dropped to the side. But I tried again, my arms taking in his jaw this time, my eyes blazing.
