It was past midnight, maybe 2-3 am.
Adina's body jerked awake, a soft moan escaping her lips. Her body was hot again, the familiar heat starting to spill over the bedsheets, making her uncomfortable and in pain.
She bit her lip, trying to hold back the moan that threatened to escape her lips, but to no avail. Her eyes squeezed shut. She needed something—anything.
"T-Thorne," she moaned louder this time. Her hand reached out blindly, grasping nothing but air and blankets.
"Adina," Thorne's voice was deep and hoarse with sleep. He was sitting on the chair where he had been since. His gaze settled on her, and his jaw clenched hard.
"Fuck," he groaned, reaching out to her. Thessara was right. The pill only worked for a bit. He touched her shoulder, and she seemed to come undone, her body trembling at a single touch.
