Despite the shallow curfew and state of calamity, some businesses remained open. The lobby was full of the news anchor's voice. However, the only person working on closing wasn't listening to him. She was humming as she wiped her desk clean. It was another day done. Unlike yesterday, their lobby wasn't swarmed with people who had been scratched by their anxious pets.

She finally looked up and turned off the overhead television. "The attacks in the city somewhat stopped, but it could be because they all went to that small town. I hope everyone is safe."

As soon as the black mirror showed up, the receptionist saw someone standing in front of their doors. The lights were already dim inside, so his image appeared only as a long shadow. The receptionist turned to find a man indeed standing outside their clinic.

"Sorry, we're already closed. Is it an emergency?" She walked to the door and looked at the young man, who weakly smiled at her.
