Seth's POV:
This wasn't the first time Chloe was rejecting me for Brandon, but why did this one hurt so much?
I stood there in that corridor, frozen, watching her pull his hand like it belonged to her — like I was invisible. My throat tightened. I told myself to play it cool, to not make a scene, but inside, something was burning.
My heart had always yearned for her.
Ever since the day she stepped into our house.
I still remember that first moment — she looked lost, like someone who'd just been dropped into a world that didn't fit her. The sassy face fooled you at first; she looked like one of those confident girls who always had a comeback. But the closer you got, the more you realized she wasn't that. Not even close.
There was something fragile about her, like glass — the kind you just want to hold carefully, afraid even your breath could shatter it.
