Artifacts are one of the carriers of culture, and culture is something that the emerging nation of East Africa lacks the most. Not to mention countries with a short history like America, even Russia is the same.
Russian history is not short, but it's quite awkward, as it can never avoid the Mongol Empire and the Golden Horde, always being mocked by the Western world and potentially removed from Europe.
Therefore, nihilism in Russian history is prevalent, with Tsarist Russia denying the Mongols, Soviet Russia denying Tsarist Russia, and Russia denying the Soviet Union. This way, Russia is always hovering between Europe and Asia, unable to find a sense of belonging for itself as a country. The entire Slavic race is like this. If the Slavs could find their own cultural confidence, it would certainly be a force capable of changing the world.
